Vintage Monday - or Sparkle Tuesday!

I'm a little late for Monday ....I was a little under the weather yesterday morning which is when I usually post and so now it's Tuesday but let's pretend it's Vintage Monday!
I'm a girl who likes sparkly shiny things...especially vintage sparkly crystal.
I bought these two electric candlesticks at an estate sale a long time ago and I just love them . They sit on the bookcase in my livingroom and they look beautiful in the daytime...but at night when it's dark out and I switch them on, they are something!
They really do sparkle and cast a gorgeous light over the other vintage findings in my livingroom...like old china, silver and vintage linens...just to name a few.

I also adore the fact that there are two of them...I am especially fond of things that come in pairs...

I once found a brown paper lunch sack on the back of a shelf at a thrift shop...of course, I had to see what was inside.
It was full and very heavy...I ripped the sack trying to lift it and when I saw it was full of crystal teardrops, I just about shed a few of my own.
The bag wasn't marked and I asked the price....$5.00...yes, I said 5.
I have a very beautiful very old chandelier with most of it's crystals missing that I got at a yard sale.
Someday I will marry the two of them up and hang it in my livingroom....Mr.Honey has to rewire it for me first and then hang it (my ceilings are cathedral and I don't do ladders that high)...Hmmm that would be a great winter project for us.

As for now, they sit in a metal tray just waiting for the opportunity to cast sparkly shadows over the room at night....am I saying sparkly too much?

I keep a beaded rose that I made on top of them....

Along with a beaded pansy that I also made...

These aren't old but I love them anyway! They're brand new...I just bought them at ROSS which is a discount store in my area that I like to frequent every now and then.
They're twins also...aren't they shabby chic cute!

They are only about 12" tall...perfect for each side of my desk. I hope this post put a little "sparkle" in your Vintage Monday...I mean Tuesday...or whatever!

Hey Lori! Love your blog! I just popped in to see what's up. Usually I don't like music on blogs, but when I opened yours, Jimmie Davis was singing the old song "You are my Sunshine" to me. My grandfather used to sing that to me when I was little. Made me smile!

I like your teardrops. When you get them on your chandelier you'll be just like Pollyanna with her Prisms reflecting all over the room. Nice sparkly things!

I can't believe your photos! They make me love old things, besides my sweetie that is. But I digress, you take lovely photos of your little precious things and they make one want to just jump into the photo!

My gosh you have great stuff. I used to hate crystal chandeliers for several reasons which we won't go into here. But I love them now. Love. I'm still looking at that quilt behind the pretties though!
