Sugar Stars...a new Gracie Girl Pattern!!!...

I have been busy as a bee playing with my
Gracie Girl fabric...
and getting ready for my
fall quilt market display in Houston.

Today I wanted to share with you
 the release of a new
Gracie Girl quilt pattern...

This is an older pattern that
I published way back in the late 90's.

Back then I simply named the pattern
"Pieced Drunkards Path"

When I originally designed this pattern...
there were no such things as pre-cuts...
and in my original pattern
 I used 2 1/2" squares...

but this time around...
I resized it to use 5" pre-cut squares:)
(or 10" squares subcut into 5" squares)

You get the look of the
 traditional drunkards path block curve
by using my Easy Corner Triangle method.

A very easy quilt to make...
and finishes up into a nice twin size.

My always sweet friend and
 sometimes stunt double Sherri...
quickly pieced the top for me
after I sent it to her
all cut and ready to go...
Thanks a bunch Sherri!

After quilt market is over...
it will be going on Kassidy's bed...
as she requested:)

I hope she has
"sweet dreams"
every time that
she sleeps underneath Sugar Stars:)

I also made Kass a 24" pillow...

to match the quilt and for her room as well.

Instructions and pattern for the pillow are of course included in the pattern:)

"Sugar Stars"

If you want to have sweet dreams...
and sleep under some Sugar Stars too...
to make some of your own!

Have a quilty kind of day...
xx

Very cute pattern, Lori. So simple and yet shows such a great variety of Gracie Girl. I can see why Kass wants to sleep under it each night.

I have never been a fan of the snowball pattern, even though I'm pretty snowflakey in every other way, but this is such a clever twist on a classic, I may just have to incorporate it some time. Thank you for the inspiration, and enjoy Houston!

OK, I know you know this, but I got my book today!!!!! Awesomeness abounds! Thank you for writing it. I want the next one to have all the barn, tractor, silo blocks in it too. Oh, right, its your book, you get to do whatever you want, but the farm blocks would be good. You're wisdom shows in your choice of strips for instructing beginners, so they can repeat blocks. How smart!

I like that, only it looks like flowers to me. =) I got your book in the mail today and look forward to sitting down with it tonight and perusing every single page!
