Here are a few of my honeycomb blocks
that I made for the sampler quilt.

In my book…(Quilty Fun)
I used this block in my "Calico Hive" quilt.

The honeycomb block is an
easy peasy scrappy favorite of mine…
of course called a snowball traditionally.

I never get tired of making them…
they are a perfect way to
use up some scrappy squares in your

Have a quilty kind of day…
and sew it like you mean it!!!

I share your love of "snowball" blocks and have never made a quilt of them. Seeing your quilt in the picture just might be the inspiration I need to get on with it.

This has nothing to do with the wonderful sew along but I wanted to tell you my big news! After years of drooling over your Thanksgiving quilt, I've finally started one for myself...yes, as in actually started! I've picked my fabrics, cut out patterns...I'm on a roll!! With any luck at all I'll be wrapped in my new Lori/Thanksgiving quilt by November 1st, in time to read through Bon Appetit and decide on the T-day menu! Wish me luck?! xo, Nan
