...on Halloween night! We have a tradition at our house of either baking treats or creatively packaging store bought goodies. This year Kassidy and I have been busy making cute little treats with paper. We stamped and imbossed this cute little girlie skull...no scary stuff for us!

But before I show you some rosey-cherry-daisy-polka dotty-gingham eye candy...
I am announcing the winner of my 1930's scraps giveaway.
The winner is Rhondi from "Rose Colored Glasses"....
Congratulations Rhondi....shoot me an email with your address and I'll ship your fabric to you ASAP!
A great big thank you with a cherry on top to everyone who left me all that bloggy love and entered the giveaway...watch for more giveaways coming soon!
I'm assuming that you can see I'm announcing my.... first fabric line!!!!!!....
called "Sew Cherry".....can I get a woot?
Oh my gosh...it's been sooo hard keeping this secret!
I'm excited that the line will come through Riley Blake which is a fairly new and also a very successful, creative company.
Designing my own fabric really is a dream come true and a long time in the making and I hope you all like what you see:)
Here is the story board showing the full line of "Sew Cherry". It will be displayed in the Riley Blake booth at Fall Market in Houston. It's now available for ordering through Riley Blake and the expected delivery will be in early spring!
"Sew Cherry" consists of 8 designs in 3 color ways with the addition of 3 solids (white, yellow and red) for a total of 27 different fabrics in the line.
Having the solids will be so helpful in all of the MANY, MANY patterns I have designed for the "Sew Cherry" line.
On the back of the story board you can see the dots that will be on the selvedge....showing all of the colors that I used in the line. I'm sure you aren't suprised by these colors as they are my normal palette to work with!
Red and Yellow....
Blue and Brown...
Blue and Brown...
All of the colorways have brown in them.
The main floral in Pink...
White.....
....and Butter Yellow.
I thought I would show you a larger view of the stripes as they were only able to put a small square photo of them within the colorways on the storyboard....

I chose to do the striped fabric in a large scale. I'm really happy with the way it turned out......the fabric is going to be so versatile to use in many projects .....and will also be perfect for fussy cutting!
I could only choose 3 colors to have my polka dot fabric and also my gingham fabric to be printed..... so I chose red, green and brown.
The other 3 colors that I wasn't able to choose were yellow, pink and blue....soooo....I put in them in as gingham and polka dots in the striped fabric! Yay! Now I have them in all six colors which is what I really wanted.
The polka dot sections in the stripe measure 5" wide and the gingham sections measure 3" wide so they will be plenty big enough to use for cutting quilt blocks and other things.
And of course if you know me at all....I obviously would not design my first line of fabric without the addition of red gingham and also red polka dots.....both are my absolute favorite fabric to work with.
If you have been following my quilt designs throughout the years you know that I always use them in every quilt!
I won't be getting my actual fabric until after the first of the year:(
I can't wait to get my hands on it and sew it up into the patterns I have designed!....patience is NOT one of my virtues...LOL.
In the meantime....I am busy working on my second line....so what do you think my bloggy friends?
Do you like it?

Sabbath Song...
Autumn day, autumn day,
God gives richest gifts today.
Look on ev'ry side and see
Pleasant things for you and me.
Apples red and apples yellow,
Round and juicy, sweet and mellow,
Load the trees till they bend over
And thier branches brush the clover.
Child, be glad with all that lives,
But forget not God, who gives!

Quick Apple Crisp...
Around here on Sunday afternoons....my family wants something sweet ...and something homemade ...and something that involves ice cream.
One of the apple trees that we have in our backyard is a fuji, and not only are they delicious to eat...but I think they are good for baking.
