Sew Simple Shapes Series - The Big Finish!!

Okay you guys...
I got my quilt back from the quilters.
YaY!!

The quilt finishes at
 74" x 88"
I'm so happy with how it
 turned out and
I know I'm going to
 LOVE this quilt forever:)

I sewed my 20 blocks together in
5 rows of four blocks across.
I cut 49 - 2 1/2" x 12 1/2"
sashing strips for in-between the blocks.

I cut them out of all of my
 Bee Backgrounds Collection
that I used in the blocks.

Before sewing the blocks together ...
I of course used my
12 1/2" Trim-It Ruler and
trimmed them all up to 12 1/2" square!

These are the fabrics that I chose
for the back of the quilt...
the cornerstones...
the binding and the border.

I cut 30 - 2 1/2" cornerstones
 to go in-between the sashings.
Used 1/4 yard of the blue dot from
 my Bee Basics collection.

I used the baby chick print for the backing.
It's 108" wide and from my
 Bee Backings and Borders Collection.
I used 2 3/4" yards.

The red text binding is from my
 Cozy Christmas Collection.
I cut 9 - 2 1/2" x Width of Fabric strips
and joined together on the diagonal
 to prepare the binding.

I just had to do a
red gingham border!
The gingham that I used is from my
 Bake Sale 2 Collection.
I used 2 1/4 yards and I cut it lengthwise:
Cut 2 - 8 1/2" x 72 1/2"
and sew to the sides first
and then cut
2 - 8 1/2" x 74 1/2"
for the top and bottom.

My friend Juli Stubbs did the quilting
and it's FABULOUS!!

I went out in my yard
and took a few photos ...

And then snapped a few more
after hanging it inside on my wall:)

I super love this quilt
and I hope that you do too!!!

It was so fun to make using all
of the my different sets of
Sew Simple Shapes (so far)
combined together for one quilt:)

While doing each and every
 tutorial for you...
I got so excited to put
all of the blocks together:)
Thanks so much for sewing with me during this series:)
xx
