Happy Dance!!!...

Well girls...I normally don't do a happy dance while I'm watching the news...but last night I sure did!
I've been waiting for Apple (which is where all the images in this post are from)...to announce the new iPad2...

I love the white one!

...and all of the new options that come with it.
My iPhone has made my life so much easier for a long time...I can only imagine how the iPad2 can help!
Look how lightweight it is...

...and how thin it is now...making it very comfy to use!

And they also announced a new cover...look at all the colors to choose from...love them!

When you open the SmartCover...the iPad2 turns on...and when you close it...it shuts down.

And you can fold the SmartCover back like this ...so that it becomes a stand.
Totally genius I must say:)

The stand can go this way...

...or this way to watch a movie or to view your friends on the new Face Time while chatting or visiting you...my bloggy friends!

One of the reasons that I'm excited about the new iPad2 is because now I can import pictures right from my camera...that means I can take pictures...download them and post from wherever I am!...no more waiting until I get home.

And it comes with free engraving on the back...you can put any message that you want...which I think is a good idea so that you know who's is who's.
Yay!
I'm so excited for the new iPad2!
Yes.
I'm a geek.
How about you?
Any other iPad or iPhone geeks out there?

What I'm Reading...

It's no secret that I love a good read...and it's also not a secret that I love the Elm Creek Quilt books that are written by Jennifer Chiaverini.
I've read them from the very beginning and have loved every one of them... especially the historical fiction ones like The Lost Quilter...

which is a sequel to this one...The Runaway Quilt...which has been my very, very favorite in the series so far.
It's really hard to pick a favorite but this is one that I loved so much.

And now Jennifer has just released #17 in the series...
The Union Quilters... and I'm so excited that it's also in the same time period as The Runaway Quilt and The Lost Quilter....which is during the Civil War.
I just started it so I can't give you a review just yet...but I can tell you that I am positive that I won't be dissapointed:)
If you havn't read her books yet, I highly recommend them.
You really don't have to read them in the order that Jennifer has written to enjoy them but I suggest that you do read the first 3 in order so that you understand who the characters are and what the series is all about.
The first three are...
1. The Quilters Apprentice
2. Round Robin
3. The Cross-Country Quilters
All 3 books are now available together in one large book called Elm Creek Quilts Sampler.
If you decide to give them a whirl...let me know how you like them.
Well that's it for now girls...I hope you have a quilty kind of day...

Dear Spring...

...where are you?
I miss you.
Please come back:)

Well...I don't know about you girls...but I am soooo over winter.
I'm tired of the snow and the cold and I'm looking forward to sunshiny days again....

As you know, one of my very favorite things to photograph are the flowers in my cottage garden...these are some of the pictures that I took at the end of summer here which is in September...

Mmmmm...I can almost smell my roses:)
Just looking through my photos sure does give me hope for warm weather just around the corner!
And now more than ever I have faith that little tiny green seedlings will soon be making their way out of the soil and shooting up towards the sun...and once again turn into beautiful blooms.
I can't wait!!!
What's it like in your neck of the woods?...what season are you in?...are you soooo over winter too?
I'm keepping myself busy stitching away while I'm waiting it through...
what are you doing while you're waiting?
xx
