This week I added a few more blocks to my "Family Reunion" quilt. We met at Quilts Etc., where I am currently teaching this quilt in one of my applique clubs.
Everyone is coming along very nicely with their blocks.
Of course you can't have a family reunion without Aunt Suzanne's Potato Salad. At least we couldn't anyway!!!
This salad is missing the paprika on top. I stitched some on, but didn't like it so I "unstitched" it.
You sure are up late like me! ha! You better get to bed! LOL! It's nice and quiet around here about now so I tend to enjoy blogging or reading late at night.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to get up early for a HS graduation at the Marriott Center so I better go to bed now. Have a good rest.
1 1/2 days left of school! Yippee!
Now that is making me hungry! Love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the eggs on the potato salad. Sorry about the paprika. How about paprika colored beads sprinkled on top? I just love your work.
ReplyDeletePotato salad is a must, for sure! I love Stephanie's idea of beads for the paprika; I was going to suggest french knots. Beautiful design in your quilts.
ReplyDeleteYou always come up with the best ideas for applique! How do you do it year after year? Love the potato salad. And the scripture is perfect to represent family.
ReplyDeleteLove this one too!. . . (You do know that your patterns are now my latest 'collections'!?!) . . & the Bible verse makes it even more special!

ReplyDeleteI always love the scriptures and quotes you include in your quilts. So sweet. Also very fun to see your quilt on Moda Lissa's blog!
ReplyDeleteOh Lori this is so lovely. I was sitting here looking at your amazing blog thinking "if Lori didn't start a blog I would never get to see all this inspiration". Your work is so wonderful. It is absolutely no wonder Moda was so lucky to have your quilt in their booth.
ReplyDeleteLove potato salad even when it just appliqued. too cute.
