Okay...can I just tell you how much fun I am having with my dishtowel embroidery giveaway? Look at all of the names that I have been adding to my old BALL jar for the drawing at the end of the week. I'll continue adding each and every entry until midnight on July 4th.
I am overwhelmed with all of the lovely comments and sharing of my button and giveaway.
Forgive me if I am not able to respond right now, but just know how happy I am to read each comment. I am so thrilled to know that alot of you out there love vintage embroidery as well as I do...here's to keeping the tradition alive! (this is the part where we clink our vintage glass tumblers filled with lemonade together)
I am looking forward to making new friends with those of you who have just found my blog and I so appreciate the friends that I have already made through blogging. I'm still new to "blogland" and everyone has made me feel so welcome...thank you.
Speaking of friends, I was so happy to meet Nanette from Freda's Hive on Tuesday evening. Yes, I said Nanette. Yes, the Nanette with the famous blog. I did a trunk show for the quilt group that she belongs to.
The group has been meeting for 20 years and what a wonderful and talented bunch they are. They were so friendly to me and made me feel right at home.
Nanette is just as adorable and sweet as you might think. She only lives about 20 minutes away from me but we had never met before. I think we will be meeting more often now for some quilty fun! Nanette snapped alot of pictures of my quilts at the trunk show and has now made a slide show out of them. Go check it out here. Thanks Nanette- I know that was alot of work because I brought alot of quilts!
It was such a treat having you come. I can't tell you when I've enjoyed a trunk show more. You had everyone's captivated attention and I've heard so many great comments about how enjoyable everyone felt it was. I've done these. I know what work they are. So thank you again. It would be really fun to get together when vacations are over.
ReplyDeletethanks so much!!

ReplyDeleteMaybe one day you can come to a Florida show and I will be able to meet you too.

I love your quilts!!! I've viewed the photos on Nanette's blog three times now! I would love to take a class from you...if you ever teach in the St. George/Las Vegas area...please let me know! Also, is the Crazy Daisy pattern for sale? I'd love to make that!

ReplyDeleteLori, I went into Broadbent's on Wednesday and Janice said that I should have came to the trunk show (I didn't even know about it) because you were there! She has been helping me with my FQ pics in the vintage section and knew that I had started your quilt. Apparently I could have met Nanette there too. :( Hopefully there will be other opportunities to catch you both in the same room.
