Birthday Girl

Whooooooo's birthday was this week?

I'll give you a hint....she has curly hair and loves anything soft & furry and anything pink, green or orange.....

So when I saw this cute owl pillow at Target...I knew she would love it.

You guessed it.... Kassidy's birthday was this week. Now my baby girl is 10.

It's a tradition in our family to get up early on a birthday and watch the opening of gifts.

Kass was up VERY early waiting in her room for the go ahead to start tearing paper.

Kass is fun to photograph.....especially when she's excited because she's very animated and it makes for good scrapbooking pictures....I always want to remember her excitement on her birthdays.

On to the next one....hmmmm what is it?

On to more tearing of paper.........

A fun birthday morning.....it's not over yet. At our house we tend to drag out the festivities a bit.

Last week, her Grandma & Grandpa Holt took her to lunch and shopping to celebrate...

next week she will have a birthday party here in our backyard with her friends....

Sunday night, Ben & his family came for cake and ice cream.....

and on Saturday Kass & I went to lunch with my Mom, Grandma and my sisters and celebrated then!

On Friday night, Kassidy and I made a paper crown for her to wear at the birthday luncheon.

We came across a cute tutorial by Karin of "Creative Chaos" here and here. We loved it and thought it looked like fun to make..... thanks so much Karin for the inspiration!

And we were right...it was fun. We stayed up until midnight playing.

Kassidy decided she wanted her birthday month & butterflies on her crown. She also wanted to know if we could make more.... one for every month of the year.....I said sure! You don't have to ask me twice to play with glitter!
