We call ourselves yo-yo mamas because all of last year we did a yo-yo exchange at every meeting....now it's time for a new project.
We are doing a 1930's sampler quilt called "Egg Money Quilts" by Eleanor Burns. Here are a few of the blocks.
We also had a few quilts brought for show and tell.
Shanna made this quilt a long time ago...I think it's called Grandma's Dishes. I just love it....it's perfectly scrappy.
Below is Debbie's show and tell....I dont know what the quilt is but of course the fabric is Mary Englebriet.

Debbie is still working on this one, she will be adding more squares for the border. I especially like the two colored stars.
Wonderful Egg Money Quilt blocks! I love the first one. So far, I have made Dresden's from this book.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun. Love the show and tell. And what a great idea to exchange yo yos. Did you use a theme? For instance, exchange yellows one time?
ReplyDeleteI love the scrappy quilt and thank you for the pics!

Sounds like a fun little group. I am not fond of making yo-yo's. You would have thrown me out of your group!
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like a lot of fun especially since I got to meet some of your friends at Nadine's last week. I look forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts AGAIN! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to be at the Utah Quilt Guild show?
You are right, that is such a great store! If I lived closer I would want to be part of your club. I think the first block is my favorite. I could see an entire quilt made with that block.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks Lori and I thoroughly enjoyed the Show :) Love the scrappy circles and stars!
ReplyDeleteI love the finished quilts....those are just amazing. Great Job!

I made a quilt using the same book. It's on my bed! It was a BOM. Fun Fun!!
ReplyDeleteI think I made 3-4 Grandma's dishes. It was a Barbara Brandeburg or Teri Christopherson quilt. Love yours.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these quilts. I am definitely a vintage quilter. I just fall in love every time I see a vintage quilt. Great work ladies!
