Vintage Monday...Let it Snow!...

Good morning!..... while I have my hot cocoa... I thought I would share with you what I've been up to the last week....

...and this is it!....the fluffy white stuff....and LOTS of it!! At our little cottage, when it snows....the kids get on thier snowgear and head outside along with all of the other kids in the neighborhood...
you can read more about that in THIS POST!

...and Mr. Honey puts the snowplow onto his 1 ton FORD truck... and hits the road....we've had so much snow...I havn't seen him in quite a while!

....and I won't see him until all the roads are clear....like this!
This is the view in front of my cottage.

I'm thinking it's the last of my David Austin roses for the winter....so sad....sleep well my pretties...I'll see you in the springtime!

This is my upstairs deck off the kitchen as I'm looking at it right now....

...and my patio below.

My grandma Crane's vintage garden rocker that she gave me....and that my grandpa gave her.
He gave it to her as a wedding gift so that she would have a comfortable place to sit while she accompanied him on those long trips to Idaho with the sheep herd....

I have been unpacking box after box of my Christmas decorations...a perfect project for a snow day....(or should I say snow week...lol)

Hello Mr. Snowman!...I've missed you!.....I have a feeling you'll feel right at home here.

Of course you know that I collect vintage ornaments....

Here is just a sneak peek into the boxes...

When I have it all up....I'll show you!

  1. I'm so jealous of your ornaments. I need to be better at shopping for them. I love them so much. You know my story about my parents leaving our box of ornaments behind when we moved from PA. Oh well. It makes me appreciate vintage ornaments more. The snow was fun to watch yesterday. So peaceful. I can't believe you still had a rose. it is beautiful with that snow on it. Kind of picturesque.

  3. Wow...you have a lot of snow! We were lucky to be able to travel between the two storms..heading up Wednesday and coming home Saturday! But we just stayed in...it never got above 12 during the days and at night it was below zero! But you have more snow than my relatives...so I'm thinking a lot of it came yesterday?!

  7. LOVE your snowman! Isn't this snow so festive!! I love it! Wish I was getting out my Christmas decor too...instead I'm finishing up writing instructions for my last pattern, doing taxes, piecing together a quilt (for trade - for my quilter). Oh well. One of these days it will happen!

P.S. I like your tire swing too. Looks fun!

  10. Hate the snow, We have none yet, YAY... love your ornaments and all those quilt blocks. I am just starting to quilt but I know I am going to love it. Your flower block with the yoyo and button gives me an idea for my granddaughters tote I am making her for Christmas for her crocheting. Thanks for the idea.
