The First Cut is the Deepest...

Last week I took the Riley Blake ribbon off of my Fat Quarter bundle of "Sew Cherry" and laid them out on my cutting board...

I pressed each and every piece and marvelled at the fact that I was ironing my very own fabric for the very first time!...girls...I'm here to tell ya that dreams do come true:)

I was afraid and exited all at the same time to line up my ruler and slide my bling-ee red rotary cutter along the edge.
This is it ...the very first cut documented for you...my bloggy friends to share in my bliss.
Am I silly to make such a big deal about the first cut of my very first fabric line?

Probably.

But that's okay...I've always been known for my silliness...just ask my Mom...LOL:)

And the cutting continues...

  24. No way are you silly! I'm not sure I could have forced myself to cut into a piece of this yummy fabric. However, since you are the designer and I am only in love with this line I am going to have to get myself a set of FQ bundles and make some aprons, some new runners for my kitchen table and perhaps some yardage for new curtains in my county kitchen. I've always wanted a vintage country kitchen in this old farmhouse and this is the most vintage'ish (new word, teehee)fabric I've seen and it is the perfect line.

    CONGRATS!!!!!
