Do you remember this photo that I posted way back when?
It's me with my little granddaughter
Sophie Belle
when she was just 2 weeks old.
She was born 6 weeks early and weighed only 4 pounds 10 ounces.

I just had to show you how big she is getting!
She has been growing like a weed...

And now she just turned 4!!!
I can't believe where the time has gone:)

Mr. Honey and I bought her a bike for her birthday...
her very first one.

I could swear that she giggled for 1/2 hour straight after she saw it.

We took her out on the sidewalk to
try it out and she was a pro in no time at all.

Mr. Honey told her that she needs to make sure to
strap on her helmet before she rides...
and she said in her little voice,
"But grandpa...I don't know how to strap on a "HEM-LET"
haha
I love to hear how she pronounces words.

She loves her bike and from what I hear from her mom and dad...
they can't keep her off of it!

Tomorrow is quilty barn day:)
xx

  8. What a cutie! Granddaughters are special. My GD was born at 27 weeks and weighed 1 lb 1 oz. Yes that is 17 ounces! She is now a thriving 11 year old. She was in the NICU for 4 months and went home at 4 lbs. Her brother, who wasn't supposed to happen, weighed 4 lbs at 35 weeks. Her mom had pre-eclampsia. We are very grateful and of course, they both have quilts that grandma made.

  25. Sounds like I'm just echoing previous comments but...she IS a beautiful little girl. Grandchildren are so much fun and I'm fortunate enough to live in my DDs backyard at this point, and just down the street from two more! I haven't actually started on my barns yet but I do have some fabrics picked out. I'm thinking patriotic red, white and blue.
PS-the wallpaper on my desktop is a sign that says, "If children are the rainbow of life, then Grandchildren are the POT OF GOLD!"
