Well good morning cute people!!!
Today is the official end of summer around here...
because the kids
went back to school this morning:)
My very busy summer explains a lot
about my absence in posting...
but now I'm ready to get back onto my regularly scheduled program!
I'm so excited to announce that we have completed
our first of several patterns for our
It's called Candy Beads and it was a total blast to make!
First we made lots of circles...
in 3 different sizes.
We started out with 20 each of
5", 7" and 10" Gracie Girl squares.
(they come as pre-cuts in all 3 sizes)
By using these...
you will find it so easy, fast and fun to sew up
perfect circles!
If you are following me on Instagram (beelori1)...
you have already seen several sneak peeks...
But here is Kass laying them out into rows.
When she was happy with their placement...
I snapped a picture or two before sewing together...
so that I didn't have to label them:)
All sewn, quilted, bound and
hung in the
living-room for a few close ups.
Candy Beads
just happens to be the quilt
that we will be teaching at the
in Las Vegas next month!
YaY!
I wanted to show you a close up of the quilting.
I asked my quilter to do some triangle stippling on the light aqua background...
I love how it turned out!
Then I surprised Kassidy with a quick snap of her saying
"Mommmm....really?
Do you HAVE to do that right now?"
Because it was 11:30 last night
and I wanted to take a few pics of Candy Beads in her room.
After all...
it's her quilt and it looks sooo cute in there!
I think it looks adorable hanging over her ballet bar...
don't you?

After several months of admiring your work, pinning your pictures and wanting everything you can come up with it was time to start my Lori Holt pattern collection. I ordered Sew She Did. Could only afford one at this time as I am a bit poor right now but as soon as I can sell my children I am buying more! Just kidding...did I type that out loud? :)
