Good morning cute people!!
Today is week 4 of the
Above is my block for week 4 back when I was making the
Quilty Fun Sampler
You will need to make 3 of the
sewing baskets using the instructions
found on page 98 of...
Lessons in Scrappy Patchwork
Go and visit my BFF Nannette at Freda's Hive who is hosting this week.
You can get the details
and the giveaways and
the link to this weeks PDF companion.
Nanette has made so many cute Sewing Basket blocks…
you will want to check them out for sure:)
But before you click here to visit Nanette…
I want to tell you about a new product that you will
find very useful if you like to have Quilty Fun!
These are Alphabitties by my friends ... It's Sew Emma.
I'm thinking that you definitely need a package
(or several) of these in your Christmas stocking this year!
They are the perfect companion to Quilty Fun.
In this cute little package you will find 26 letters and 10 numbers!
You will find them useful because as you know…
all of my cutting pieces for my patterns and also for the Quilty Fun blocks in the book are identified by a letter.
So as you cut your pieces for the blocks…
(this week the sewing baskets)
You just place the letter onto your coordinating pieces
for easy identification when you are sewing them together!
In the past…
I have used my vintage Scrabble letters
for marking my cut fabric pieces...
I have a bunch that I keep in my studio and I use them often...
But now I can use the Alphabitties for marking!!!
I have more than one package so that I can
mark several different blocks at a time and
stack them up on my design boards
to set next to my machine or
to take to sew day.
I love anything that helps to keep me organized
while I am having a Quilty Fun kind of day:)
So click here to get you some Alphabitties
and get working on your Quilty Fun Sampler
Post your basket pictures onto the
to enter to win this weeks prizes!
Have fun and remember…
YOU are the boss of your own quilt!
xx
Lori
I love that the Baskets are this week of Thanksgiving. I'll make them TOMORROW. Today, it's my 37th Wedding Anniverary so I'll be celebrating with a Night out.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what those Alphabetties were that I saw on another blog (or two) this morning...looks like something I need though I do have some scrabble tiles and just never thought to use them. You have some really great tips! Thanks for all the sharing of your awesome creativeness. I get a lot of inspiration from you and many others like you!
