Good morning cute people!
Today brings us on week 19 of the
I was out of town and unable to post on the mittens...Week 17:)
Thanks to my friend Trish who hosted
that weeks post on her lovely blog;
Big hugs Trish!!!…you're a sweetie:)
And last week was hosted by the lovely and talented
I'm so glad that she hosted her week so beautifully because
I had big time problems with blogger last week
and finally gave up after losing my post twice!
PS…is anyone else having this issue?
This is Bumble Bee week and is hosted by my super sweet friend
to visit her cute blog and to get this weeks PDF
and giveaway information:)
The Bumble Bee is the last block for the Quilty Fun Sampler
that we have all been making for the sew along…
YaY!
Next week I will be hosting for the finishing up part.
I will tell you that you can
cut 5 - 1 1/2" x 23 1/2"
sashing strips to join all of the center sections together:)
I sewed my entire quilt top together before
I did the embroidery on the Bumble Bee…
because as the designer,
I wanted to wait and see exactly what I wanted to embroider.
But I normally would do the embroidery
on the block before it is sewn into the quilt…
it's much easier to get to that way:)
So download this weeks PDF for the embroidery pattern…
choose floss that matches the fabrics in your quilt and start stitching!
For those who are new to embroidery…
don't be intimidated!
It's not as hard as you may have built it up in your mind to be!
If you need a little hand holding…
(as we all do …hehe)
to see my beginning embroidery video tutorials on YouTube…
brought to you by the Fat Quarter Shop channel!
Have a quilty kind of day and remember…
you are the boss of your own quilt!
xx
Lori
