Farm Girl Fridays - Bee Prepared!!!

My post today is all about
getting ready for our
Bee Prepared
is my favorite motto
when it comes to starting any project:)

We only have one week until
officially begin and
I'm sew super excited!

So let's talk about a few
Farm Girl Vintage
 things so that you can
"Bee Prepared!"

This is the book we will
be using for this sew along.
If you don't have a copy yet…
to get one and join us!

If you are using
Swiss Dots on white
by Riley Blake
for your background
in any of your projects
during the sew along…
they are back in stock!
if you need/want some:)

Remember that
"you are the boss of your own quilt"

So you can chose to make 6" blocks

 for the
6" Farm Girl Sampler
on the cover of the book
You will need 5 yards of background.

Or if you choose to
make the 12" block's
for the 12" sampler
in the book
(Scrappy Haystack Sampler)
The swiss dots would
be cute there too and
 5 yards of background
 will work for the
12" blocks for the
Scrappy Haystack Sampler
 as well!

I just like to share with you
 my very favorites ...
and swiss dots just
happen to be one of them!

You can use them
as background in both
the 6" and 12" block projects
from my book as well ...
you decide!

And in other good news…
will be back in stock first thing
Monday morning…
YeeHaw!!!

I selected this special bundle
to add to your own scrappy stash
when making projects
for the sew along.
I wanted you to see in person
the kinds of prints that
I used for projects in my book
and to have the happy colors
that I love in your
own hands to use as well!

Bee Prepared by making sure
that you have plenty of my
Bee in my Bonnet Design Boards
made and ready to go!

Bee Prepared with your scrappy stash.
I know I've posted about
how I buy, use and save my fabric
to build my scrappy stash…
but it's worth taking a look at again
because I sewed my entire
Farm Girl Vintage book
using my scrappy stash.

Okay!
"BEE PREPARED"
(That's all I have to say about that:)

Other exciting news!
In June
I will be teaching several
here in beautiful Utah …
hosted by the awesome
Thimbles and Threads Quilt Shop

We have opened up
 a few more spots!!!
for more info:)

Come sew with me
and Miss Lucy!
(miss lucy is my red singer featherweight)

We will be working on
Farm Girl projects…
and I will be designing
 a new Farm Girl block
(or maybe two)
exclusively for my workshop!

YaY!!!

I will be doing a
farm girl vintage trunk show
on the first night
and the remaining days
will be spent sewing!
There will be a
super fun
farm girl swag bag
 and lots of other giveaways
fun games and prizes:)
I can't wait!!!!

Last but not least…
I wanted to share a new
Farm Girl Vintage
YouTube video
with you.
to see how cute Kimberly is
and to see how she
turns "backing into binding!"

It's a really fun method
to use with the
 Farm Kitchen Potholders
from my book.

YeeHaw!

Have a quilty kind of day
xx
Lori

P.S. Bee Prepared:)

  1. Hi Lori,
I just looked at your post that shows the inside of your Farm Girl book and I LOVE it, almost as much as I love the quilts and projects. Just got to get a copy of it over here in Switzerland. I wonder if my Brick and Mortar LQS has it. In any case congrats on the book.
