I LOVE working with the It's Sew Emma team!!!
I was so happy to open my very first copy….
And check out each and every project...
and each and every photo!!!
And YES!…it has a spiral binding
just like my first book
I can't wait for you
to get your copy
of Farm Girl Vintage
and to start
our Farm Girl Vintage Sew Along!
Every Friday here on my blog
I will be posting
that weeks block/blocks
along with tips
and inspiration for
those particular blocks.
Add this button to your
blog side bar
if you are participating…
or use it on Instagram
along with the hashtag
Farm Girl Fridays
to announce your participation!
We will be starting on
Friday May 1st….
and ending in October.
So for 6 months…
Friday's here
on on my Instagram will
officially be called
#Farm Girl Fridays
Just in case you haven't heard…
I selected 50 fat quarters from
several different designers and fabric companies
to compile this special
Farm Girl Vintage FQBundle
available exclusively at
Many of you asked for my
fabric choices and colors I used
for the projects in my book
so this is my answer!
A good start to build
your own farm girl stash:)
to get started!
For the sew along we
will be sewing all 45 Farm Girl blocks…
and we will have
45 different bloggers as well!
Each will spotlight
one block on their blog:)
We will be doing
1-2 blocks per week…
with a few farm girl
surprises thrown in
by me along the way!
"You are the boss of your own quilt"
so you
can choose to do either the
6" or 12" size…
or both!
You can choose to
make the Farm Girl Sampler
just like in the book...
Or use your blocks
to make one of my simple settings...
Or even make the queen size
Scrappy Haystack Sampler!
Each block is fun to make on it's own...
And you just may end up making every
project in the book just like I did!
I can't wait to get started…
but until then…
I hope you'll pick a project or two
from Farm Girl Vintage
and start playing!!
Have a quilty kind of day…
xx
Lori

It's kind of advanced for my skills. And if I have the extra money, I'd love to grab a Farm Girl bundle. I may just have to make do with what I have (which I'm happy to say includes a lot of your fabric). Whatever I do, I will be following along. :)

I, too, love the spiral binding. Looking forward to the Sew Along. I did the Quilty Sew Along and anxiously awaited Monday's blog. My quilt won a blue ribbon in our local quilt show. BEE HAPPY brought me many hours of happiness. It hangs on my sewing room wall! I'm looking forward to Friday's blog and many more hours of happiness working on my Farm Girl Vintage quilt. I love FGV because you see, I'm 72 and it brings back many wonderful memories of when I was a much loved little girl growing up on my grandparents' farm. My husband loves your book, too. You see, we have retired to the farm where his great-grandparents settled. THANKS Lori for your wonderful book and memories.
