Good morning
Farm Girl Friday people!
This morning I'm at my
second retreat this month
hosted by
in Draper, Utah:)
We are sewing from the book
and also a few other fun little projects.
We all have these barn name tags...
aren't they cute?
This is what the classroom
looks like at
The Lodge
where our retreat is.
Isn't it gorgeous?
We have lots of Farm Girl blocks
up on the design wall...
And lots of shopping at
Thimbles and Threads
darling quilt shop...
(out of print and hard to find BIMB fabrics)
Lots of chatting around the fire...
And super fun kits
put together by
Thimbles and Threads.
I also introduced three new
Farm Girl Companion blocks
for this months retreats...
this one is HONEY BEE!
This one is
BARN CAT...
And last but not least
is my farm girl
MILK COW!
All three blocks will be
available
in PDF pattern form soon...
Stay tuned and I will
announce when they are ready!
In the meantime...
you can follow all the fun
by tuning in to my
See you next week!
xx
Lori
Oh wow, looks amazing! So far away down here in New Zealand!
ReplyDeleteLove, love your new blocks that are coming out. Beautiful lodge! Fun times, on your retreat - maybe someday, I too will be able to sit and enjoy and soak in one of your retreats.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your adventures and all the fun everyone is having! The companion blocks are adorable! And I have to tell you that I love my Seams Sew Easy! Thanks Lori!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time. I love the cow
ReplyDeleteI could make a whole quilt of those for my mom.
It would make her happy.
I am taking care of my 92 year oldsters. They are adorable. Mom had a stroke and gets really depressed and anxious now. She loves cows.
This retreat looks like soooooo much fun. I wish I were there.
What beautiful light in the lodge! Looks like y'all are having a great time.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much I would LOVE to go to one of your retreats...and...hurry, hurry, hurry and get those patterns available...I am making a baby quilt with the farm girl vintage animals and they will go perfect with the chick, sheep, hen, and pig I already have. HURRY!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm making blocks from the Farm Girl Vintage book for a quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas. It MUST have this cow!!!!! I really need a goat too ...please hurry!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteLori is a fabulous teacher. She is so fun to talk to. She gave me one on one instruction at the retreat. She made us all laugh. What a delightful person and instructor. What a inspiration! I can't sew fast enough. ;) :)
ReplyDeleteClearly that cute little cow gives Chocolate Milk!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone was busy busy. That cow is adorable.
ReplyDelete2 retreats in one month... I'm jealous then my husband might be a little upset if I'm gone all the time
Your picture game me an idea. The place I go to for retreat has a balcony. I need to start having the girls hang their finished tops along it till we leave.
