YaY!
My Cozy Christmas Sew Along
will be starting in just 2 weeks.
And of course y'all are invited:)
We will be starting on Monday August 15th right here on my blog.
We will do one block a week (Every Monday)
and I will give you a detailed tutorial
on each and every block...
( with lots of photos as usual)
We will finish up on Monday November 14...
in plenty of time for you to quilt and bind
and enjoy for this Christmas season:)
Here is my Cozy Christmas quilt and the
pattern is a free download just like my Bloom quilt:)
to download Cozy Christmas pattern.
The pattern also includes yardage requirements
for the quilt and special notions needed as well.
Visit your favorite quilt shop to purchase the fabric kit!
We will be using my
Cozy Christmas fabric...
And I can't wait for you to play with it!
Looky at the little reindeer selvedge:)
There are even several prints in the line that aren't just
for Christmas like these checked prints above:)
I'm completely obsessed with this line and I hope you will be too!
So let's talk about a few of the supplies...
all supplies are on the supply list in the pattern.
First of all...you will need the
Cozy Christmas
Sew Simple Shapes
And we will be using my
Cute Little Buttons
for adding details to the blocks:)
You will also need embroidery floss to match. If you
haven't tried my Aurifloss collection yet...
now is your chance!
My set coordinates perfectly with my fabrics:)
You will also need Sew-In Interfacing and
I'm super excited to announce that the new
Bee in my Bonnet
Sew-In Interfacing
is now available!
It's a little more sturdy than the kind that we used
in the Bloom Sew Along... and also helps to make the edges
of your shapes even smoother.
YaY!
I'm so excited for you to try it.
I've been using it and I LOVE it:)
Most quilt shops that are selling the fabric kits for the
Cozy Christmas quilt have included a
fat 1/8th EACH of Nutmeg solid and Snow Shades
along with 2 yards of tiny white rick-rack
as called for in the supply list on the pattern.
YaY!
However...
I've had several of you request to purchase
these 3 from me because they bought
yardage instead of the kit and couldn't find these 3 supplies.
So I've put some together and
listed them in my shop.
This is a pillow that I made using one of the blocks from the quilt.
I taught it to so many awesome students in Park City this spring
at the Riley Blake Extravaganza right before quilt market.
I used my machine applique method on this one:)
We will be using all of the same methods
that we used in the BLOOM Sew Along.
If you are not familiar with them
and are new to my methods...
to see week one of that sew along so that you can
get a preview of what the
Cozy Christmas Sew Along will be like.
Please don't worry if you have never appliquéd before...
I promise that my
"applique made easy"
method is totally do-able
and you will be surprised
at just how easy it is!
Okay...
I hope I have given you
enough info so that you will
"Bee Prepared"
Let's do this!!!
xx
Lori
