Sweet Land Sew Along - THE BIG FINISH!!

  Welcome to the BIG FINISH
of the Sweet Land Sew Along!!

If you are just joining us and would
like to know more about this sew along
and how it worked
to read my blog post called
"Bee Prepared"
where I tell you all about it:)
if you still need to download
the sew along guide.

We made the
Sweet Land Quilt
which finishes at
 88" x 88"
It consists of 5 pieced blocks
and 4 applique blocks
as well as a scrappy pieced border!

To make the appliqué blocks,
 we all used my
Sew Simple Shapes called of course...
Sweet Land Sew Simple Shapes!

The collection that we all used
for the quilt is...
AMERICANA!!

Week One tutorial was for the
Sweet Land Applique Block #1
to go to that blog post and tutorial:)

Week Two tutorial was the
Sashings and Cornerstone
blocks for the quilt.

to go to that blogpost and tutorial

Week Three tutorial was the
pieced blocks.
to go to that blog post.

Week Four we made
the pieced border for the quilt.
I did another video
on making these blocks
at the same time that I
re-filmed the video from last week
(my work was not in view a lot of
the time so I fixed that for this video!

for the part two video and the
tutorial for the pieced border:)

I had so much fun making my quilt
with you and I really just
LOVE LOVE LOVE
how it turned out!

Now for the finished quilt photos...
Here we go!!

I took so many pictures
of my finished quilt for you!!
I hung it in my entryway
right before I filled the top
of my vintage credenza with
July decor and more vintage fun.

Thanks you so much for being patient
for this post as it took longer
than usual to get it quilted:)

And now you may ask-
what's next???
Well here you go!

I'll see you right back here on
September 8, 2025
for my "BEE PREPARED"
post for my next sew along called
HONEY BEE GARDEN

SWEET LAND SEW ALONG - Week Four!!

  Welcome to Week Four
of the Sweet Land Sew Along!!

If you are just joining us and would
like to know more about this sew along
and how it works
to read my blog post called
"Bee Prepared"
where I tell you all about it:)
if you still need to download
the sew along guide.

We are making the
Sweet Land Quilt
which finishes at
 88" x 88"
It consists of 5 pieced blocks
and 4 applique blocks
as well as a scrappy pieced border!

To make the appliqué blocks,
 we will be using my
Sew Simple Shapes called of course...
Sweet Land Sew Simple Shapes!

The collection that we are using
for the quilt is...
AMERICANA!!

Week One tutorial was for the

Week Three tutorial was the
pieced blocks.
to go to that blog post.

This week we are starting on
the pieced border for the quilt.
I did another video
on making these blocks
at the same time that I
re-filmed the video from last week
(my work was not in view a lot of
the time so I fixed that for this video!

for the part two video and the
tutorial for the pieced border:)

This is how I cut all of the
 flying geese for the borders.
I used 10" Bee in my Bonnet Design Boards
for two pages of cutting in the
sew along guide and placed onto each
board that those pieces were cut...

And stacked them up like this!!

Here is a view of four of my
Design Boards with pieces cut...
I then added the pages for each on top
before stacking them up.

All stacked up next to my
cute little machine and ready to go!!

I was not able to take photos
while sewing the blocks
because of course I was filming
and of course all of the info that
you will need is in my video:)

After filming I added these border blocks
to my design wall just to give you
an idea of how they will look!

Thanks sew much for joining me again
this week and I will meet you
right back here next time
for the BIG FINISH blog post!
***It will be a few weeks instead
of the date in the guide
so that I can get my quilt
all quilted and bound for the post:)
Until then, happy quilting!!
xx
