Material Girls

Well...I went to Material Girls yesterday.....which is no suprise to anyone who knows me. I'm there probably 3 or 4 times a week....so i thought I would show you why. If you have not had the chance to go...let me just tell you - Material Girls is one happenin place and I want to make sure that I don't miss out on anything new!
It's a place that is ALWAYS busy. I swear it's like Shop Hop 24/7. Fabric and patterns just fly out of there left and right. There are several reasons for this...Nadine is the first.

Nadine is the owner and she is very passionate about quilting and Material girls. She is always there to answer any questions and help you any way she can...she always greets you with a smile and she is totally down to earth and so funny...she makes me laugh and I always have a good time when I visit.

The second reason is her fabric choices and patterns that she brings into the shop for all of us to choose from.
She really has a good eye and knows just what we will love even before we do!
I just love -love -love the fabric she carries...always all of the newest and best and she's not afraid to get the whole line instead of just a few pieces...I know we all appreciate her for that.

About patterns...I know if it's a good one as soon as it's available to her...it's available to me.
Gotta love that!

Nadine has a great selection of beautiful trims to go with any sewing or quilting project and the assortment of ric-rac is amazing!

Okay...I could go on and on (oh...I think I already am) ...but I really should let you scroll down to see the pics!
I didn't take alot of fabric because I wanted to show you the fun way Nadine displays her patterns, kits and fabrics....which is fabulous and I think the main reason she is always so busy...she changes her displays constantly and you seriously could go there every day and see several different things.
Nadine also likes vintage and that really plays a part in her displays...alright...enough talk...you can look now!...the pictures speak for themselves.

Nadine's got some really fun Halloween fabric, patterns and kits in right now...and Material Girls also has a website and a blog.
I feel like I just did a commercial...but that's not the reason for this post. I just simply want to share a wonderful quilty place with you that I go to ALOT and enjoy.
I heart Nadine and I heart Material Girls...

  15. You got to "go on and on" (and I'm so glad you did) - and now you've got me wanting to go on and on!

I first discovered Nadine's shop when she was featured in Quilt Sampler, and I KNEW her shop was a shop for me.

Then I met Nadine via blogging and feel like I made an instant friend (like someone else I've met - bee, hint, bonnet, hint).

And then I discovered so much of you inside Nadine's quilting paradise... I KNEW I had found my quilt shop utopia. Buy looking at your photos and reading your words, Material Girls is my favorite quilt shop in the universe. And I've never even been there. YET! I could live in Nadine's shop, and knowing you're in there so much and so much of you is infused into the shop... I'd lock myself in and throw away the key.

PS... You comment to me made me laugh, sigh, smile and feel so loved. I wish there was secret high speed train between UT and the OR coast. xoxo

  21. Wow! Looks like a great place. The two quilt shops close enough for me to go to aren't that clever, or friendly. Lucky you!

  22. Nadine is amazing. She makes you feel special when you walk in the door. The store has the best best selection of any other store around. And the store is large enough to have good displays and so much to look at on the walls. The high ceilings give enough room to make the quilt store feel like every where you look there is something exciting and new.

  27. OH WOW....NOW THAT'S my kind of quilt shop....Oh my...this is the kind of shop I would like to have...the quilt shop I go to are not very friendly and act 'pained' that you have interrupted them with a question...I have often wondered how they are still in business...????
..LOL...if you go in there 3 or 4 times a week...how are you not penniless...???
OH...OH...and I have an old mixer like that too that is in mint condition and with the original instruction/recipe booklet to go with it!!!
