Three of my quilting friends and I had a day put aside to applique together....and I wanted to give each of them a sweet treat to remember our day together.
I thought I would show you what I did. I didn't have time to make tags like I usually do...so instead I looked inside my studio cupboards to see what I could use in a pinch....and my eyes rested upon this pink ticket roll...yes, I picked it up at a thrift shop!
I grabbed some pink tule and cellophane....
I tied a tag on
that read..."you're the cream of the crop!"
that read..."you're the cream of the crop!"
"you are as sweet as sugar!"...
And did the same for a vintage crystal sugar bowl. These also make fun take-homes after a luncheon and the ticket could also be used as a place card!
I often adopt single sugar and creamers that have been abandoned by thier mates...I can easily find them for 50 cents each....they make adorable pieces on the breakfast, luncheon or dinner table. They can hold jams, syrups, salad dressings, salsa, dip and even after dinner mints!
I hope I have inspired you to find many uses for abandoned vintage items and to look at single sugars and creamers in a new way!
