My new apron pattern
is finally ready and uploaded
to my etsy shop
Busy Bee Inc.
To those of you who have sent
emails asking me when it will be ready...
I appreciate your patience!
When I say new apron pattern...
I really should say old because it's a pattern that I
designed and taught in the late 90's...
I am just releasing it again for my Bake Sale line!
I did up date it a bit by adding easy machine appliqué
on one of the four pockets...
Like the tulip above...
Cherries...
Flower...
And of course...
a strawberry:)
All of pockets are made with 10" squares on the aprons with applique.
Or you can easily make all of the four pockets the same using 1/2 yard of fabric.
You can make each part of the apron a different fabric for a scrappy look.
Or use 3 - 4 coordinating prints.
The loop sewn into the waistband is for hanging a dishtowel.
The days of the week dishtowels will be included in my
"Kitchen Love"
pattern to be released soon.
It has the canisters and several potholders along
with other kitchen cuties included as well.
It will be my last new pattern for a while
until my next fabric collection
"Gracie Girl"
comes in the fall.
Can you believe how much Kassidy has grown?
She is so tall now...
way taller than me!
(which isn't really very hard)
It's been 2 years exactly since the release of my
She was 11 then.
It's amazing how much difference 2 years make!
The Easy as Pie apron pattern includes 4 sizes.
Above is the Junior Chef size.
The pockets are made using 7" squares instead of 10" and the skirt,
waistband and ties are sized accordingly.
This apron fits an elementary age girl.
Here is the toddler size...
and of course a matching apron for an American Girl Doll!
Both are made using one fat quarter
for the waist and ties and also
one fat quarter for both skirts.
The toddler pockets are made using 5" squares...
and the doll pockets are made using 3 1/2" squares.
All of my Bake Sale square precut sizes!
Isn't the doll size so itty bitty and cute?
Every little girl needs a doll with a matching apron:)
You make recognize this little girl...
my granddaughter Sophie Belle
who is also growing up too fast!
They really are Easy as Pie to sew up...
you may not be able to stop at just one!
Wouldn't it be fun to sew one for everyone
to wear at a vintage baking party...
or a girls birthday party...
or a generations picture for
grandma, mom, daughters and grandaughters?
How about a family reunion?
The possibilities are endless!
Have a apron sewing kind of day:)
xx
