The Quilty Barn Along...Vintagey Farm Girl Tractor Block Tutorial!...

  4. OMG I love love love LOVE LOVE *LOVE* it!! I am definitely making this for the FRONT of my barn quilt, it is way too nice for the back :) In fact my barn quilt may become a tractor quilt with a few barns (I am a bit behind with my barns LOL). Thank you so much I am so excited!!

    Hmm I could make tractors and barns for my Dad, and chickens and barns for my Mum....

  7. Lori- I love your tractor. It is perfect for the back. I made a table mat of the Bee block for an 82 year old friend named Bea, and I will be making a placemat for my 2 1/2 year old grandson with this tractor on it. He loves farm vehicles. Your label blocks are such fun blocks.

  11. This is the cutest block ever. I have loved your barn blocks since I saw the first one and am now trying to catch up. I'm excited to do this one, too. I was thinking this morning that I am having a hard time catching up and I don't even have to think much. I don't know how you do it, to add in the creative thinking, math, and tutorials. Thank you for doing it for us.

  55. I cried with joy when I saw this block (I'm 4months pregnant it doesn't take much to cry lol) I'm using these blocks for my baby's quilt (first baby super excited!!) This block reminds me of my husband's fondest childhood memories of riding a ford tractor with his grandfather. So mine will be made blue and have FORD appliqued on it. ;D

  59. Lori, You sew inspire me. I was up late last night making another barn, well tonight a tractor! How cute. Thank you for your farm girl quilt patterns. Can't wait for the chicken coop, hay stack, laundry line with quilts,windmill, corn field, scarecrow, planted fields, pastures and water well. :) Long wish list - so get busy.   62. How do you come up with all of these great blocks and the math that goes along with them? I have been following along since the Row Along, and copying your instructions into a Word document so I can save them and print them easily. Will you be putting all of these into regular, for-purchase patterns in the near future?

  68. what a fun tractor!! That sure took alot of figuring out to make!! I've got to get busy on my barns: I was born when my Dad was still a farmer, so I really love this barn-along!!
    Also, Do you happen to know if the Fat quarter stack of your Bake Sale fabric has the plain coordinating fabrics in it too? I'm thinking it will make great pot holders and kitchen things for Christmas gifts!! Thanks so much!! H in Healdsburg

  70. I'm like Lois I'll have me mine Red. LOL no green allowed at my dad's place. Just ask my nephew. When he was 2 my dad had him saying Green is bad.
