Rain and Music on a Quilty Kind of Day...


I'm in my studio...
and it's an early autumn rainy day.

While I'm sewing away...
keeping a perfect beat to the hum of my machine is Mindy.


I've been listening to her new album
 while I'm having a quilty kind of day:)

    Never heard her before...she is lovely! You might like Emme Packer...very similar singing style. I'm lovin on your cool sewing machine. Couldn't help but notice the Gilmore Girls DVD in the background-love them!

    Just went to youtube to listen to and watch Mindy - what a soothing, beautiful voice. I will return later and listen some more! Very different from the young artists today - don't understand the modern music. Probably explained from the fact that I am 85 and the young ones would not understand the music of my youth, either!

    Never heard of her so I went to You Tube watched her (love the wings). I think I might by her cd. I can understand the words! Hey when is your book coming out? I pre-ordered it and can't wait.

    Love your aqua sewing machine and Mindy is one of my favorites as well, her voice is amazing.

    I would like to thank you Lori for doing such an awesome job at the Riley Blake Fabric Fest. I took both of your classes and really enjoyed them...you are awesome!!! Kassidy did amazing in the fashion show, she's a natural. She is such a sweet young lady.
    I too am trying to get back in the swing of my busy but blessed life.

    Thanks so much for sharing Mindy's music with us!! She reminds me a little of Ingrid Michaelson (Keep Breathing). She has a very lovely voice and her music would be great to sew to!! Thanks again for sharing... Have a nice day sewing while it rains...

    Mindy is one of my favorites too! In fact, one of my absolute favorite songs is on her 3rd album. (Which really, I just love that album!) And I love your quilts too. :)
