We are working on the
right side of our quilt today:)
Grab your Sew Simple Shapes...
And your Autumn Love fabric...
and let's make the Sunflower Block!
Here are the Autumn Love prints
used for this block:)
Autumn Love
Sew Simple Shapes
that you will need are:
5 - F1
1 - F2
4 - F8
4 - F23
Subcut the 1/4" green pumpkin print into:
4 -1 1/2" strips
Cut 4 - 2" long strips from the
1/4" bias that you cut from the
green text fat quarter.
Cut your background 12" x 12"
Don't forget to clip each cleavage
in the leaves and also
in the sunflowers.
I showed you how to do this
in the week one video.
to watch it again
if you need a refresher:)
All of the sunflower block shapes...
ready to be glue basted.
Press your background in half
both ways to help with placement.
Place onto your design board
and use your
10 1/2" Trim-It Ruler
to center and line up
all of the pieces.
Pin into place...
and glue baste.
Set your ruler on top of the block
along with something heavy
so that it can dry nice and flat.
Time for applique!
After applique and trimming...
sew 8 Cute Little Buttons just like this:)
Sunflower Block
Trim it up to
10 1/2" x 10 1/2" BEFORE
sewing it into your quilt.
Now let's make the Maple Leaf Block:)

needed for this block:
1 - F1
1 - F2
1 - F3
4 - F5
4 - F10
4 - F12
From the 1/4" cinnamon solid subcut:
4 - 4" long strips
8 - 2" long strips
Cut your background 12" x 12" square
After sewing your shapes...
cut the cleavages in the maple leaves
before turning and pressing.
Now it's time for glue basting:)
Press one end of each strip under.
On the short strips...
cut a slant on the other end...
4 of them going one way and
the other four the opposite like this.
You know the drill!
Design board...
10 1/2" ruler...
pin into place and then glue.
Cute:)
All ready for applique!
After applique and trimming...
I'm sewing 8 orange

Remember...
you can wait until after quilting
if you want...
it's up to you and your quilter:)
