I just got back from my week in beautiful Kimberly, Idaho.
Just take a look at this beautiful barn!
I took this photo right before entering the town...
I love it so much that I plan on having it made into a print for framing:)
I taught a workshop at
and it was awesome!
I highly recommend it as a place for you and your friends
to have your next retreat.
The accommodations and the food are
wonderful and are right next to the quilt shop.
The weather and scenery was perfect.
I felt right at home in
the beautiful farm country of Idaho.
We all made vintage mixers from my new pattern
We also made several Quilty Barns
and Tractors:)
The Quilt Barn is a lovely shop....
filled to the brim with fabric and patterns and a fun variety of samples.
The old building is so charming and is perfect for
a quilt shop with plenty of room to hang quilts...
both new and old.
The large front window display changes monthly
and always has a wonderfully vintage theme.
This months theme is June Bride.
Here are several photos of the shop...
inside and out...
just to give you an idea of its charm.
Isn't it wonderful?
If you get a chance you should really go there.
Heather (the owner) along with her family
and employees will make you
feel right at home just as they did with me.
A big thank you to everyone who came to sew with me as well as to visit with me on Saturday for the meet and greet.
I had a lovely time and I look forward to going back again!
Have a quilty kind of day...
xx

It is darling, and I see they have a bunch of the best fabric! ;)
Love the photos. Wow. Looks like a beautiful place. The orange quilt in one photo is really pretty. Your quilts in a row show off so darling.
We had a great time Lori and can't wait for your next visit.
I listed extra Quilty Barn Along fat quarter bundles and the tractor kit from your retreat in our etsy shop, Quilt barn Idaho.

What a brilliant shop. I wish they had something like that in England! I could spend all day in there.

Looks like my kind of quilt shop :) I bet you all had such a wonderful time! I hope I can go to one of your retreats one of these days!
WOW! That picture is just breathtaking! I would definitely blow that up too for my wall. So pretty.
And that shop is just adorable. Such cute stuff all over their shop.
I was just writing to ask about the row along you did earlier in the year. I was doing it with a friend who passed away unexpectedly in February so I lost interest in that project. I keep thinking that I want to finish the project over the summer in her memory but short of pulling up your website each time I want to work on it, is there a pdf of the project that I can upload and print off and maybe work on at a retreat next month since I won't be bringing my laptop?

Thank you for sharing photos of your trip. The shop's displays look great. I especially loved the wedding ring quilt next to the wedding dress at the window, they go together perfectly.
I'm guessing it was very difficult to leave that place!!
Any chance you'd go back next summer....when I don't have a wedding scheduled?
It looks and sounds like you had a fabulous time! :o) What an adorable shop!!
Love your barn picture! It will make a beautiful print:) The pictures you have shared with all of us of the Quilt Barn are gorgeous, my kinda place. Such beautiful quilts on display and your quilts add an extra special touch of happiness to the store.
Thanks again for sharing :)
Looks like it was all so wonderful ... Makes me want to get into the car and go ! Hmmm how far is Idaho from New Jersey ?!
Hi Lori: I just wanted to say how much I loved seeing the photo of the old white barn. It lovely and looks so inviting and calm. I must also tell you how much I enjoy your blog and all that you share with your internet friends. Happy quilting.

I was so happy to stop in and be able to see you. It was such a happy coincidence. We hadn't planned to even come through Kimberly, let alone stop. I am so glad we did. It is a nice little town. My friends were impressed that I knew you. All of your quilts were great. I wish I had time to make all of them.
Beautiful work! I just love looking at all your creations :)
