I love the "row" concept and the wondering what row would be next and excited to see you one. Also love the colors. I had good intentions but didn't get to make the quilt. Still hope to in the future!

Your quilt is amazing. Such beautiful colours and design variety.
I've been following the row along from the beginning and am keen to make a start. It's hard to choose a favourite part because it's all so gorgeous but I think the houses and tulips are my favourite. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into making this tutorial for us.

My favourite things? Where to start!
• the happy colours
• the easy-to-follow instructions
• the way this quilt would be a great group/freindship project.
I have a soft spot for the half-eaten apples.

Love love love this quilt. It is hard to decide which row, but, I think, maybe the tulips. Love flowers. Thanks for the chance!

I found your blog when you were on Row 9. When your email comes in, that is the first one I read. Your ideas for each row are so creative and cute. I can hardly wait to start making the quilt. Wished I would have known about it at the first and I would have joined in. Thank you so much for doing it and FREE! You are awesome! I just came to UT this week and visited Thimbles and Thread. They knew you! Everywhere I go I tell them about the "BEE IN MY BONNET" row along. So fun! Even in San Jose, CA the lady at the quilt store near my husband's meeting knew you. You are amazing!

First, your row quilt is gorgeous! Second, I love the bright Spring colors; your great tutorials; and you were so generous in providing the free pattern/instructions! Lastly, love the cottage look and I'm sure feel of this treasured quilt.

I love the COLORS!!! The border really pulls each row together too! I can't really pin point anyone row that I favor over the others because each compliments the quilt perfectly. It was fun to wait and see what would be next and now that it's over I can look forward to the barns!! Woo Hoo!! That looks to be a fun one too!

Ruth Ann said...

I can't decide which row I like the most. I think it's the coffee mugs, no it's the tulips, no it's the apples. I can't decide! I do like the label. I think it's so important. The cute fabric is the best! Greetings from Virginia.

Great job on the row along. The end product is beautiful. I love the bee block on the back. So cute. I didn't do the row along, but I have the stuff to get started on the Quilty Barn along.

Lori,

What I LOVE the most is the way looking at the quilt makes me feel. Happy, comforted and the list goes on and on. Thank you so much for sharing your great talents with all of us to appreciate, be inspired by and challenged.

My rows are completed and a few are sewn together. I can't wait to get my quilt completed. I know it is going to be one of my favorites.

Along with your cute design and wonderful instructions, one of my favorite things about the row-along was the anticipation of seeing what you had designed for the next row. It was like being a kid on Christmas waiting for Wednesday.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent so generously!

I've been following your row-a-long but not very closely so I've missed the odd one here and there - seeing it all come together almost took my breath away!

Seeing all the different objects together, the baskets, houses, what I assume are yarn or thread spindles, it really is beautiful!! You should be so proud :)

Patty said...

Thanks so much for this row a-long! I'm a few rows behind, but I loved the process, your tips along the way, and the finished product is adorable! I'm looking forward to getting started on the barns!

Janice said...

I am just in love with the colors of the quilt, and the "happiness" that each row brings. My favorite part of the quilt is the tulips...probably because they came along at the right time when I can not take winter anymore, and keep watching for the tulips to start poking out of the ground!! Love your style.

What part of this isn't my favorite. I love all of it, but love the bee on the back. We have hives, and it is giving me an idea for a small wallhanging. What I really love is the chance to get my hands on some of the Polka Dot stitches to finish my tilt a whirl quilt. I am doubling the size, so would love more of the darling fabric line to get it done!

I did not do the row along. I watched the row along unfold and I must say I do have several favorite parts of this. The mugs, the mittens and the apples. Last but not least the finish and you included a label block. This is one I will definantly be making in the near future.

My favorite part of the Quilt along was "your" quilt. I absolutely fell in love with all your bright colors and the "folksyness" (now that's a new word!) of the rows. The second favorite thing was the well written tuts - I've saved them all and will make this quilt one of these days. Third favorite thing was looking forward to every new idea you'd come up for the newest row. You are outstanding and I've already been enjoying the Barn Along!
Thank you, Lori.

Lori, I just loved every single month of the row-along. Of course, I have to confess that I didn't discover it until a month or so ago, but have pinned every month to my pinterest board and hope to start it soon. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the whimsy of your patterns and the colors you pick.

I just discovered the row along about a week ago, but I fell in love with it! I have made my first row. What I love most is how clear your instructions are, and how they are just like you're in my sewing room talking to me. I can't wait to learn each new row! Thanks!

Thanks for the opportunity and for your generosity.

I love everything about it! The mugs pulled me in and I couldn't wait for the next post. I'm still new to piecing blocks and I love that there are no templates. Thank you so much for the great blocks!

Elena said...

I loved the butterfly row. I saw those butterflies and decided to join the fun. My 4-year-old daughter is also a big fan of the butterflies, so that was a fun row to do.

Annie said...

I just finished sewing the flowers. Whew!! Tomorrow I'm going to sew the rows together and psych myself up to actually quilt something.

It's very hard to come up with my favorite things about this, because I feel so emotionally connected to it. This is my first ever quilt, and I'm making it for my 19-month old with scraps of fabric from all of the baby things I made for her. I can't wait to snuggle up under the quilt and read my little Alice bedtime stories. I have loved this entire process and cannot thank you enough for the amazing instructions and the beautiful patterns!

If I have to choose, I would say my favorite rows are: Butterflies (because they are what wooed me to start this thing in the first place), Apples (because they are so darn charming), and Flowers (because I'm done!!). My husband is an architecture grad student, so his favorite is the houses. :-)

Thank you!!! <3

My favourite rows would be the tulip row then the mugs. I do really love them all together though. I have my borders all ready to sew on after a weekend away, so tomorrow is put aside to finish the top.
Lori- I have loved the clarity of your tutorials, your beautiful photos and your way of phrasing things. I would love to have enough confidence to call out to people standing in a group- "Good Morning Cute People"

This is the first row quilt I have ever worked on. The best part was looking forward to the Wed. of the next row. Some weeks I would look on Tues night hoping you would post early. I kept up but during the last weeks my husband was in the ICU for 29 days and my quilting came to a halt. He passed away last Friday and soon I will be finishing the last 2 rows and borders. Working on it will give me something to fill those grieving hours. Thank you so much for freely sharing your talents with all of us.

I shared your site with a sweet friend of mine. She is in Heaven. She told me,"I could read her blog site all day long". I while back I helped her go thru "all" of her fabric and we (using file cabinets)organized it onto file cards (split in half on the fold). You drape the fabric over them and we pinned them on. Of course color sorted. Sooo it's pretty awsome to look in the files to see all these wonderful files. And you can put bits and pieces on also. Of course it took one huge tall file cabinet and then like 8-10 more file boxes.
Your quilt is an inspiration. Thank you again for sharing.

My favorite row was the apple row! Just love the combination of whole and munched on apples! I still have a few rows to finish up and can't wait until it'll all done.

Thank you so much for this wonderful sew along and your awesome tutorials.

I loved all of this quilt. If I had to pick one it might be the cottages. Loved your stories also. This is the first time I have followed one on line, and I have to say your directions were exceptional. Thank you and I hope you do another one very SOON!

I have been saving directions for the row-along. Winning the fat quarters would be a big incentive for me to begin.

I have not actually started this yet but I have been following with great interest. I think the quilt is just adorbs as my daughter would say and once I knock out a few of my UFOs, yes, I am actually making progress on this, albeit slow, I will make it. I would love some of your fabric to help me along!

Your quilt designs, your fabric designs, warm my heart! LOVE it all. I haven't had to make this quilt, I'm quilting vicariously thru you as I smile each time I open your blog and get my color and creative "fix".

I'm not ambitious enough to do this whole quilt, but I fell in love with your mugs and made a table runner using them with your 1" square row all around for my sister out of flannel shirting odds and ends at Christmas. It's so full of snuggly goodness. I'd like to try some of your other rows - such a fun quilt!

Loved everything about the row along; wonderful design, excellent tutorials and pictures, and the chance to make different blocks. What was especially nice was that this quilt along was open to everyone, no matter their level of experience or amount of photos posted to their Flickr account. Thanks for a hosting a great quilt along.

Hi! I did not sew the blocks, but I have been following along and enjoying it very much. I guess my favourite thing was seeing what each new row was as it was posted. I would like to do it someday, when I can devote the time to enjoy it. The finished quilt is stunning! Perfect to hang up and enjoy on a kitchen or dining room wall.

I've enjoyed watching this one from the sidelines. My daughter Jenny has been keeping up and it is so cute! I'd love the fat quarters... I'm tired of my old fashion fabric and want something more modern looking!

I haven't made one yet, but have loved seeing each row as it came along. My favorite would probably be the apple row.

I loved the fabrics you pick you picked out for this quilt. I HAVE to make this in the future. I wasn't able to afford the material, but I've been following along and it turned out GREAT! My favorite part is the apples and thread. Thanks for the chance to win :)

My most favorite thing and what caught my eye about the row along was your fabric choice. I love, love, love the bright sunny retro feel of it. My favorite block is a bit harder to pick but I go with the apple, I love the half eatten one!

I have been following since it started but I haven't started because I want to do it with my goddaughter when she grows a bit more. She's only 3 and I want to teach her how to sew in a few years.
What I love about it it's that it's a great pattern to learn how to sew, not too difficult and one row at a time, and the designs are amazing.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I just started this month of April. Badass quilter posted the link on Facebook and I was hooked. I recently saw a row quilt for the first time in person the week before she posted and have been looking of a row quilt pattern that I liked. So I started. I am currently on row #8. I was so happy to find out I didn't have to wait 2 weeks between rows, as this was an old quilt along. Awesome. I am making this quilt entirely from quilt scraps. If I can figure out Flicker I will post a photo.

I found your row-along a few weeks ago & knew I had to make this quilt! It is so pretty and so clever, I really love it. Have so far completed the apple row and am in the middle of the butterflies. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern. I have made a rule that I will be using only fabric I already have, so I hope it looks OK when I've finished :)
