Farm Fresh Sew Along - Week Six!!

Hello again farm friends!!

Today is week six of the
FARM FRESH SEW ALONG

YeeHaw!

We are making the
FARM FRESH Quilt
which finishes at
 88" x 95"
It consists of 50 pieced
Farm Girl Blocks
from two of my books...

Farm Girl Vintage
and
Farm Girl Vintage 2

There is a mix of both
6" and 12" blocks in our quilt:)
I'm so excited to be
sewing from these books again...
it's been a wonderful trip down
memory lane for me
and I want to thank you
for coming along with me:)

We are making our quilt with
my latest fabric collection...
FARMER'S DAUGHTER
***This sew along works
a little bit differently than my
 other sew alongs because...
 The patterns along with
 step by step instructions
are in the books, so I will be sewing
each and every one of the blocks
right along with you!
No need to sew ahead of time for me
as I usually do for tutorials.
For this sew along there is
no need for block instruction
because everything is already in the book:)
This format also allows you the choice
to sew your entire quilt at once
or space it apart like the schedule!

I did the week one video
on my YouTube channel to kick it off!

to watch my video
and please leave me a comment
on my channel after watching the video:)

Here are the week one blocks:)
All are 6" finished blocks and

Farm Girl Vintage

Here are all five blocks for week two
to read that blog post:)

Here are all five blocks for week three
to read that blog post

Here are the five blocks for week four

Other Places to find me:

I decided that my farm journal
needs denim pockets!

I decorated it and then filled it up...

with a tag and a journal card and a pig!

All of the details are so fun:)

I made a cow tag too:)
It's large and has plenty of
journaling space on the back
for at least one or two memories
of our milk cows on the farm:)

I clipped it onto this page with
another hidden paper clip that I
 made with vintage milk caps.

Other side.
I'll tuck something under it too:)

I also made a few flip out pockets...

And I was able to get some time to
get one glued to one of the pages
and decorate this tag to go inside.

The tag base I already had ready
from a few mass making sessions
a while back, so it was easy
to grab it and decorate!

I'll choose a spot and glue these in
for next week:)

I'll also decorate the pockets too
but after they are filled with tags
or journaling cards.
Sometimes I like to save those
finishing touches until last:)

This is how my tag turned out...
more baby chicks!

I added lace and flowers with
vintage snaps for the centers.

The back has journaling space
and I made the "FLIP OUT" with washi tape.
Now I can decorate the page underneath
it or write memories on it as well:)

I added a fabric strip to the top
 for the final touch.
PEEP!
They look cute tucked into that pocket:)
