I love Vintage Mondays because I love seeing all the things you love and the things you collect. I also love Sew Night with Kassidy. It's fun to see the things that she likes to make.

I've posted your button on my sidebar a few weeks ago and I won't be able to blog about it because we leave for California in a few hours and I should be in bed instead of blogging. Ha! Ha!

I'm kinda mad at my husband for making me miss your trunk show tonight. But, it's important we go see his mom too. I'm just glad I'll be back for the 7th.

Nanette promised to tell me all about it too! I know you'll do great and they will all LOVE You!!

I love the pattern section of your blog because I really enjoy looking at your quilts and seeing all of the details you have included in each one. I am presently taking your paper doll class at Material Girls and find the pictures you have posted very helpful.

Holy Cow!!! I can't believe that I'm the first comment...My fav post of late would be the one with all of the pictures of your yard. I have a degree in Landscape Design and I thought that your yard was just beautiful! In fact, I'm thinking about a gray/white combo for my fence. There's tons of inspiration in your landscape...Great Job!!!

Vintage Monday are so fun to see what you come up next. So I picked a Vintage Monday. It was the one where you showed all the old books about plants and gardening. They are so great.

I liked the Spring Garden post because I have many of the same flowers growing here in northern Maine...some I would love to have, but think our area is too cold for them to over winter. I loved the sentiment of the first roses that you put on your grandfather's grave on his birthday. THat was touching. PS I like the music you have in the background too...just my speed! :)

I am just starting the comforts of home quilt and am embracing my hidden vintage-ness. I enjoy seeing what the class is doing for better pictures of the blocks even though I am behind.

My fav is your tutorial on kitchen towels. I love it! Now the hunt is on for some towels that I can make pretty like yours. I love this giveaway because I learned to embroider stitching dishtowels with my mom. Our dishtowels were always embroidered and stitching them is a great memory!

Paula said...

Hi! I'm new to your blog - popped over through Coffee Time In Stitches' post about your giveaway and completely enjoyed my visit! My favorite post of those I read so far is your garden tour. What a great giveaway... I love to have handwork on the couch ready to pick up for a few stitches..

My favorite post is the one with the vintage shoe pincushions with "bling". I'm totally a bling girl, and there is a little wall space above my jewelry armoire... so this weekend I'll be making some vintage looking shoes and attaching a bunch of grandma's bling. That will remind me of her every day, and I know looking at them will make me smile! Thanks so much for the lovely ideas and great blog!

I just discovered your blog from a link on This That and the Other. I am so happy to be here because I love vintage things. My favorite page in your blog is the Vintage Monday Embroidered Dishtowels. I remember, as a 10-year old, embroidering these at my aunt's house during the long summer vacations. My aunt was so kind to me when I made a mistake, she would undo it and hand the dishtowel back to me and said, "try again." I still embroider today and I am 69 years old. I've added your blog to my Google Reader and will check it out daily. Thanks so much!

Nanette Merrill said...

Ok, I edited my post today to include the pic of the dishcloths with the bow and include your giveaway when I talked about you coming to Alpine. Check!

What a sweet giveaway. I told you dishtowels are in my future next week. I want to make some up at my sister's ranch. This is just such fun stuff. Be still my heart. Everything you make is so wonderful.

My favorite post of yours? hmmm Let me think a bit. I loved your Easter pics of when you were a kid. I loved the dresden plates that you found - pure jealousy- and I love the vintage pot holders. It is hard to pic a favorite. So please don't make me.

Ohh this is a fun post too!

Hi Lori. What a wonderful giveaway. Sorry but I can't pick just one favorite post, always enjoy all of them. I especially enjoy when you give us a peek of a current project & your vintage Mondays.

I love the dishtowels. My husband's aunt gave me a dozen when we were married 40 years ago and I loved using them.

Favorite posts would have to be sewing the pink children's skirt as I sew with my grandchildren a lot.

Patty said...

I just now found your blog through Freda’s Hive so currently I do not have a favorite post. However, I did read about your “little apron water bottle covers” and absolutely love them. These would be good for a bar-b-que using small print food fabrics or even a birthday party using cup cake fabric. I just love these little aprons!

Heide said...

Not to sound like a broken record, but the Vintage Monday posts are da bomb. These dish towels always make me think of my grandmothers. I'm going to add a like to your contest over at my blog, www.heideho.wordpress.com Cheers!

I have blogged about your give away, but being new at this, I can't figure out how to put the picture of the dish towels there.

I would love to win the table setting pkg. I had to laugh when I seen that picture of the little girl at the table with the hair dryer attached to head. I have the same picture of me when I was little...I had forgotten all about those contraptions. I also love your family reunion quilt you have been working on. Thanks for the inspirations.

LOVE the giveaway - love your blog but this giveaway has to be the best as it reminded me right away of my MOM (I lost her a few years ago :( ) I would be honored to have another constant reminder of my mom around, especially in my kitchen. (I am positive I have old material from her that is exactly like this..going to look!!)

Since I don't have a blog I can only do one of the three things listed which is leave a comment. I love all your patterns and can't wait to get my project list whittled down so I can start one. Thanks for doing the giveaway!

Hard to choose a favorite - I really thought the hot pads back in March were cute though.

I too do NOT have a blog - but would love to enter anyway!

I just found your blog, after finding some of your patterns in one of my favorite local stores. How COOL! I sure have been missing out.

I must admit I got a huge kick out of the picture of you (?) under the dryer in the "Bookshelf" section. I thought I was the only youngster who's mother sat her under the "tent dryer" so the curlers could do their magic.....

I also don't have a blog (will soon) but will enjoy reading yours, now that I've found it.

Wow! This brought back serious memories for me!! My favorite post was the Vintage Monday post on the Embroidered Dish Towels. I used to do these with my grandma when I was a little girl. She also had paints that we used to paint these same designs. Everything 'crafty' about me, I learned from my grandma - quilting, painting and embroidering dishtowels, crocheting, sewing...you name it! When my grandma passed away, I saw the family fighting over items that they deemed to be 'valuable'. It saddened me because it wasn't that they wanted them for memories, but for their monetary worth. Needless to say, I didn't have any competition, when all I asked for were her old dish towels! Thank you for keeping this alive for new generations!

On what a wonderful site. I'm glad I found your blog. And what a wonderful contest.
I love the Monday Bling post... why My grandmother (we called mamaw) taugh me to sew, crochet and to appreciate the fine craft of needlework. She passed away several years ago and I miss her dearly. The Shoe pincushions remine me of her. She collected little glass shoes. I have most of her collection and look at them everyday. The pincushions would have gone well with her collection.

I'll be posting your button and contest prize on my blog later this morning. And Thankyou for having such a wonderful blog and reminding me of my precious Mamaw.

Omigosh! I just found you via a link from Tozz, and I absolutely love your quilt photos. Also, your background music is WONDERFUL--so close to my heart, you might say. I have a special fondness for anything from the 30's, 40's and 50's, patterns, movies, music, etc.

My favorite pasttime is quilting, but I also adore vintage hand embroidery. My mom taught me crewel years ago...

I own a set of Kewpie days of the week and would love to win your giveaway. Problem will be deciding between the Scotty Dogs and the Animated Kitchenware. Both are TOO CUTE!!

Thanks for such a super giveaway!! I'm saving your blog in my favorites along with Tozz's!!
