My Quilty Back Pockets Tutorial!!!...

Today I want to show you what I put on the back of my Quilty Fun quilts...
this is my "Town Square" quilt pictured above.

I call them my
"Quilty Back Pockets"

I sew them into the corners
when binding my quilts!

(I sew them into all four corners
making them easy to hang from any side)

I came up with my  "quilty back pockets" because
 I wanted more options for
 hanging and displaying my quilts...
and I think this is a simple solution!

I always keep a quilt hanging on one wall
in every room of my cottage and I usually use curtain rods and clips...

But since adding my Quilty Back Pockets I have more options!
Like hanging the pockets over the hooks
on these cute hangers I used for my
Quilty Fun photo shoot.

I have even more YouTube videos that were released this morning.
To see todays new episodes...

to see all of them together...

to see the Quilty Back Pocket episode!

Let me know if my YouTube videos are helpful to you and if so...
what you would like to see next!

Have a quilty kind of day...
xx
Lori

Love the idea of your quilty corners.Very clever! I love your whole house, will you share the paint colors you use in your studio and home. I get to the paint store and come back with all the samples and cannot decide which ones match your cheery colors! thank you.

I always put those in mini quilts but never thought to put them in bigger quilts. Mind = blown! :D

Thanks ton for the great quilty pocket idea ... it's such a clean way to hang quilts from any side instead of squishing up a corner of the quilt with a ribbon and trying to make it look good hanging. Thanks a bunches, too, for sharing your quilty tips and techniques; for sharing great decorating ideas; and for also sharing great organizing tips!

Love what I can see of your Town Square Quilt! Checked your patterns for sale but didn't see it. Is it in your new book?

Thanks for the great idea! I just used one in new grandson's wall quilt for his nursey. I love your tutorials--watched all the new ones yesterday. Was wondering in the chain piecing one what the "thingy" was on your sewing machine plate. Then there it was in a later video, so I HAD to order that Angler II "thingy"!!

You probably think I'm a stalker. LOL I totally LOVE all of your videos, patterns, fabrics, ALL of it. I want to be you when I grow up. Oh wait! I'm already grown up (and probably much older than you). Seriously, I just love your style, your colors, etc. It's all the same as what I love. I've pre-ordered your book and can't WAIT for it to get here. I ordered the Angler 2 yesterday and can't wait to try it out. And the pockets on the quilt? GENIOUS!!! Thank you for making it easy to hang our quilts. I've always hated making the hangers. This makes is easy and fun. :)

Thanks for sharing that idea, I also love the idea of having a quilt hanging in each room ready for a much needed snuggly moment. Loving your work x

Thank you for sharing ALL your amazing talent and ideas with us! I've truly learned so much from you. I use to struggle with the "experience" of quilting and would be adamant that "I'M A SEWER.. NOT A QUILTER" but now I CAN NO LONGER say that!.....it's all your fault! :) I'm in the learning process and it's a good thing.

I just finished watching your youtube videos. Super helpful and thank you for sharing! The quilty back pockets are such a fantastic & easy idea. I hate doing hanging sleeves & than I still have to figure out how to hang them.

I love your idea of Quilty back pockets! Thanks for the tutorial.

Love the corners! This will save the (seemingly) endless task of sewing on those pockets! Tried many different ways of doing it and always wished for something simpler! For Sue above who wanted your paint colors, she could just take swatches of your fabrics to the store and they can scan for the color or use them to match paints. Getting ready to watch all the videos. Thank you so very much.

I love all of your tutorials and they are all so helpful. Thank you for the new 'set' of them. I especially like the idea of a back pocket on each quilt.
