What I'm working on...

We are having a block exchange in my Clothesline Club this month. Soooo....better late than never...I thought I'd better get mine finished up in time for the exchange next week.

We are making blocks that are reminicent of the depression era. I need to make 30 blocks to exchange.

The rules are that they must be 8 inch finished...

We must use Kona Snow for the background...

And we must use 1930's reproduction fabrics.

I decided to make blocks from a pattern that I designed in 1998 called "Scrappy Spools"...

All 30 blocks are complete...I just have to add a little applique to each one and I'll be ready for the exchange!

I love these. I have to laugh because they are very much like my spool string tutorial. We are always on the same page. It is eerie. I have to laugh at it because our likes are so close. This is going to be really cute.

Oh how pretty! I love 30's repros and used to be part of a group that exchanged blocks but it is no longer going. We did 12" finished and a certain color every month. Mine are all waiting to be WIPs. :)

Oh goodness, those are so yummy!

How does one become a member of the clothesline club? I am trying to find a group to join, but being a bit of an agoraphobe, I don't want it to be too far from home and all the groups I have found are in Utah county =0(
