I had fun making all of them bookmarks.....
so that we can all keep track of which block we are working on in our latest project that we are doing together as a group.....
Our group is a 1930's group so naturally we decided to do the sampler quilt from Eleanor Burn's book, "Egg Money Quilts".
We all love this book and Eleanor's aproach to fast & easy methods to make traditional blocks that were typically made during the depression years. We also LOVE the DVD that she has made to go along with it...very entertaining I must say with alot of cute projects. I recommend it for those of you who enjoy 1930's quilts and fabrics.
Here's a closeup of a few of the bookmarks....
And the other side of them.
This is the last project that we did together....my "Apron Club" quilt. This is Judy's that she just finished......
Look at the cute fabric that she used for her backing fabric.
The following blocks are Shanna's. She has a few more to do and then she's ready to put hers together.

Nadine brought a vintage quilt top that she just purchased online to show us.....a grandmothers flower garden. What a lucky find for her...it's such a wonderful quilt top.

I have had your apron pattern for years and I love it. Your group looks so fun. Love the pic of Nadine peeking over the quilt. Doesn't she make you laugh?

Great show - thanks Lori!
Your bookmarks are darling! Love them! I really like the fabric on the back of that apron club quilt - how perfect is that??? I need to pull my pattern out and get crackin' on it - I think I only have one apron done!
Love your aprons. What cute gifts. I have that elanor burns book too. Love it.
Fun projects. One day I want to tackle that apron pattern. I love all the different combos. Thanks for sharing.
Cute bookmarks! I have and love the Egg Money book.
Very cute bookmarks.
I just love those apron block and all the show and tell.
I "heart" those aprons :-)
I love it all! You are so amazing with all of the little gift ideas you come up with. I still have my cute water bottle apron that you made for me and the girls in the Clothesline Club. My Mary Ellen's starch bottle is wearing it now.
I have that book by Eleanor Burns. I have to agree with you, it is a great book for us 30's lovers.
Nadine's quilt top is just lovely!
Love the cute little bookmarks!!
And what can I say....I always get
inspired everytime I come over here!! I'm ga-ga over your having a party block!!
Oh, I would so love to be a Yo-Yo Mama! Thirties fabrics are my passion. And I don't mean to sound dorky, but it's so exciting to see other people using my fabric. I saw two of them in your bookmarks--which are absolutely adorable, by the way! I'm heading to retreat next weekend and may need to take my Eleanor Burns Magic Vine project along. It's been neglected too long!
