...and if you are going to eat cake, by all means...eat it with a vintage silver fork:)
I finished it today and tied it up with tule and ric-rac.
This is the class I will be teaching at the American Quilting retreat next month. I designed it especially for the retreat but will also be putting it into a pattern very soon.

The staff will be cutting kits (which will include all fabric, wool felt, embellishments and buttons)for those who will be taking the class...and I will be providing a vintage fork for each student....of course Mr. Honey will drill the hole in the top of each fork, so it is ready to hang.
This was a really fun project to design and also to make.
"eat CAKE" means...enjoy all the good things that life has to offer...and do it with style!

Soooo cute...this turned out darling...I need to make this too.
I wondered what you would be teaching at the retreat. How fun! I sure wish I could take your class. My son in laws favorite word and food when he was a little boy was "Cake!"
That is DARLING!! I love the french knots on the cake stand! Very Sweet!

That is just way too cute! I love it! This will be a fun class for sure.
I love it! The colors you chose are so "happy"! I would love to have a kit. Can you let me know where I can get one? I was working on my "paper dolls" this morning. Everytime I do, I think of you! Just can't wait for your fabric line and patterns.
That is so cute. I wish I knew how to applique as beautiful as you do.
I absolutely love it! Any way you will have some extra kits to sell along with the pattern? If so...I want both!
Jeepers that could not be any cute. Those cherries are killing me.
It is a dream of mine to be able to applique like that, or even close to that. Maybe I better look into that retreat thing.

Lori, this just could not possibly be any cuter than what it is! And I love the way you revealed it to us little by little. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us. Yes, life is good and we are so much more fortunate than we may realize at a given time in our life.
How adorable Lori! I can't believe you are getting ready for this retreat again! How fun!
Hugs,
Maryjane
You know, everytime I come to visit here, every new blog is a work of art!
Honestly, I don't know how you do it, but it's always a pleasure and your work is also a pleasure to view.
Did you stretch this over artists' canvas? A-DOR-a-ble!
