This is my quilt that I brought to show...It's my secret project that I made from our 2 1/2" square exchange that we just finished up... I posted about here.
The pattern for this quilt came from a picture in an old magazine...it's very simple as you can see.
Look how different this quilt looks when viewed with the blocks on point...
Or on a straight setting.
I just have to add a border and get it quilted....then I will use it for a table topper in my kitchen.

The following are a few of the blocks from our new exchange we are doing this year...
This is my good friend Judy striking a pose for the camera....lol...she cracks me up!
As you can see...we always have a great time together:)
These are just a few of the blocks I will be showing throughout the year...that's how long this fun block exchange will go.

LOVE your thirtys quilt - absolutely beautiful !
Do you know the name of the bag pattern that your friend used with her HB prints ? I have very bad shoulders and that looks awesome to carry - style of the handle makes all the difference. Any help with pattern name would really be appreciated
you have a fun group of friends there !
Love the 2 1/2" square quilt top, how sweet it is:)
Looks like there was much progress!
Love your "simple" quilt...very charming. And enjoyed all the blocks. Cheerful photos to look at while enjoying a cup of coffee this morning.

Love that purse and that apron is just precious.
I Love your quilt Lori -- that's a great pattern. Your block exchange sounds like so much fun. I love that cute little blue and red pinwheel too!
I love the quilt you made and am actually making one just like it. I saw my friends and asked her where she got the pattern. It is from a book called "Open a Can of Worms" published in 2000. It is still available on Amazon. There are also several other ways to place the blocks to get a different pattern.
You Yo-Yo Ma's rock! So many fun creations. Thanks for the show and tell.

Great projects. It looks like a great group. I love your scrappy squares quilt!
P.S. I finished all of the applique on my Blessings block. Just need to do the embroidery, but realized that I didn't mark the lines on the applique pieces before hand so now I'm going to have to work that out. Don't know where I was during that part of the instruction :) Ooops!
Hope you're doing well!!

I am seriously considering this pattern that you created, for your Sew Cherry fabric that I purchased and I was wondering if you would not mind sharing the amount of 2 1/2" squares as well as white blocks that you used.
Love love love your new fabric and can not wait to create something lovely with it!!!!
