Quilty Fun is Here!!!...

Last week
arrived hot off the press...
and has been shipping to quilty people everywhere:)

YaY!!!

I'm so excited!!!
If you have received your copy...
I'd love to hear what you think about it!

I have had so much fun designing everything in the book...

and I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

And I love the spiral binding!!!

All of the row along quilt instructions are included in the book...
and I used the row along blocks
to create even more projects for you.

I'm so proud of each and every one of them
and I hope that you like them too.

Of course you know that I could not
have done this without my awesome publishers!
Kimberly and the girls from
have been such a joy to work with.

A BIG thank you goes out to them
from the bottom of my heart:)

And just so you know...
now that the book is here...
the Quilty Fun has just begun!!!

We will be having a Sew Along to celebrate:)
*if you follow me on
you have been seeing
sneak peeks of the sew along

YaY!

I have designed one last project
from the blocks in Quilty Fun
for the sew along:)

It's a Quilty Fun Sampler!!!
I can't show you exactly what it looks like yet...

but all will be revealed on November 1st!!!
(just a few sleeps away)

Click over to Kimberly's blog to find out more and
what you can do to prepare for the
Quilty Fun Sew Along

I have used my scrappy stash to make the sampler blocks...

Just like I did with all of the projects in the book.

to see how I turn my
scrappy stash into usable sizes.

I hope you are excited about the Sew Along...
and my new book
Quilty Fun
Lessons in Scrappy Patchwork:)

Have a quilty kind of day...
and sew it like you mean it!!!
xx
Lori

My book arrived today- a country area in New Zealand, where mail can often be a day later than town. Great going for the postal services, and to the FQS for getting such a large mail out, dispatched quickly.

Lori, I am so happy that your generous Row-Along has resulted in a book. It feels like a great reward for you.
Any chance of seeing some of your church group quilts? I have been curious about how they went.

Sandi said...

Congratulations on your new book, I love that you did a spiral rather than bound book presentation. It looks lovely. May you have great success with it. I love your designs and colours.

My awesome "Quilty Fun" book arrived last week and I must say it-is- better-than-I-dreamed! I have read it from cover to wonderful spiral bound cover and grinned, ooh-ed and aww-ed the whole time. I have not started a project yet but will very soon. Now, if I just had your yummy scrappy stash, wow!

Hi Lori,
I received my book on Friday and it is scrumptious!! First of all, what a great idea to put spiral binding on it. I wish all quilt books would come that way. The photography is beautiful but your quilts are awesome! I had been drooling over the Row- a -long since you were working on it so I am so happy it is featured front and center in the book. It really is a lovely, fun, friendly, home-y book!! What will you do for an encore?? I can't wait!!!

Nicole Kelly said...

I got the book yesterday and I was tickled pink! It is beautiful, your instructions look so easy to follow, better than any other quilt author out there! I have been a huge fan of yours for years, and I am so excited the rest of the world is finding out about you and your many talents! You are now going to be expected to do more books and I hope you continue to!

I have no idea how you keep everything so neat, organized and so beautiful in your home! Your stunt double is so beautiful and growing up so fast!

I would still like to request a video of how you do your needle turn applique. Your applique patterns are the best no one has your style or creativity the ideas were so full of that vintagey, cottagey goodness!

Maybe someday you could do a book on an applique quilt! Either way I still adore everything you do! Congratulations on the better than great book love, love, love!

I got my book on Monday and my son and I have been ogling it ever since. I let a quilter friend look at it yesterday, and her comment was, 'Wow, this has a lot of great ideas in it!" Trust me, coming from her, that was high praise!

My copy was shipped right away and I have been reading it ever since...a little each day. I love the spiral binding...I have taken quite a few of my other pattern books and have gotten spiral binding at places like Office Max over the past year. Your instructions are meticulous as usual. Can't wait for this new sew along.

I just received my beautiful Quilty Fun Book(s) today. What a Treasure!! I'm just thrilled with it.
I still remember how I frantically wrote out all the instructions on sticky notes from your blog and then rewrote all my notes into a little notebook. It has taken me 5 months to sew 7 of these beautiful Row Along Quilt 'Tops'- so far.I don't regret getting a head start as now I can keep going with the next beautiful quilt designs in the book - using everything that I've learned so far.
I'm just overwhelmed and love it all.
Thanks so very, very much Lori!
