Welcome to week three of the
HONEY BEE GARDEN SEW ALONG
to download the free sew along guide
for this quilt.
to read my Bee Prepared blog post
and find out how my sew along works!
We will be making the
Honey Bee Garden Quilt
which finishes at
72" x 86"
To make the appliqué blocks,
we will be using my
Sew Simple Shapes called of course...
Honey Bee Garden!
The collection that we are using
for the quilt is...
GENTLER TIMES!!
block for the flying geese
in all of the borders.
to visit my week one blog post:)
#5 - #6 - #7 - #8 - #9 -#10
for Week Two
Today for Week Three,
we are planting 6 more flower blocks!
Here are my Flower Blocks
#11-#12-#13-#14-#15-#16
all cut traced according to the
directions in the Sew Along Guide.
Once again,
Miss Dolly and I are all ready!
Ready - Set - Sew!
I've separated the shapes that
need inner curves and cleavage areas
clipped from those that do not.
The shapes that do not need clipping
are placed to the left and I keep the ones
to the right that need it.
Next step is trimming all of the seam allowances on every shape...
and then clipping those shapes
that need it and cutting
the interfacing for turning.
Three blocks are shaped...
And three more!
Now it's time for glue basting:)
I'll show you each individual block under
the 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" Trim-It Ruler...
This is the best and most efficient way
to show you the measurements
and exactly how each block is laid out.
Remember all of the tips that
I showed you in my week one video
because they apply to each and every block!
