Hello quilty friends!
Thanks for joining me
for my upcoming sew along!
We will be making the
STRAWBERRY CRUSH QUILT
66" x 73"
We will be using my
latest fabric collection
BERRY and SAGE
to make our quilt!
If you would like to see everything
about this collection including
all of the new patterns and notions,
to view the storyboard!
The sew along will begin on
May 18th, 2026
and you are invited!
The sew along will take place
here on my blog,
and also on my
for week one.
If you are new to my sew alongs
and or applique method please
to watch my videos about applique:)
Let's talk about what you will
need for the sew along!
First of all you will need the kit!
It comes in this cute Strawberry Box
or your fave quilt shop may be
cutting it from yardage and
putting it together for you.
Either way,
if you don't have yours yet
just do a quick google search of
Strawberry Crush Quilt Kit
and you will be able to find one
as they are just now arriving in shops:)
If you purchase the kit in the box,
the sew along guide is included.
If you are purchasing the fabric kit only
to download the free sew along guide
because you will need it!
The guide will tell you the schedule
of when I will be posting,
As well as a list of supplies and notions,
and fabric cutting details...
Sew Simple Shape as well as
each block details and...
Instructions on putting your quilt
together after the applique is completed:)
P.S. I'm keeping my guide and the notions
for this sew along inside this
Berry and Sage Vinyl Project Bag:)
It's good to stay organized!
Also take note that you will
need the Strawberry Crush
set of Sew Simple Shapes.
They also are included inside the
Strawberry Boxed Kit
but are also sold separately if needed.
The guide lists all of the
supplies and notions needed
and here is a photo of most!
There are four new
Bee in my Bonnet Design Boards
for this collection:)
If you are doing the optional
"big stitching" around each block
be sure to grab the
DMC 816 called for in the guide.
I'm keeping mine on one of my
Floss Flower Thread Bobbins.
These are the two sizes of
Trim-It Rulers
(12 1/2" and 14 1/2")
that you will need to square and trim up
your blocks after all of
your applique is completed.
As per usual,
I'll be sewing on one of my vintage
Singer Featherweight
machines for this sew along.
All you need is a machine
with a good straight stitch!
I'm sew excited to be
making these sweet blocks with you!
and also on my YouTube Channel
on Monday, May 18th
to get started on the blocks!
Until then...
have a Quilty kind of day:)
xx
Lori
