Quilters Cottage Sew Along Week Four!!

Today is week four in the

 Quilters Cottage Sew Along

It's hosted by 

Fat Quarter Shop 

and I am posting here during weeks 

two - four - six - eight!

Here is the schedule for the sew along 

and how each week is divided up 

between the blocks in the quilt.

Of course you will need your 

 Quilters Cottage Book 

because it has all of the cutting and 

step by step instructions for 

making each block and 

putting the quilt together.

The quilt is made with my

 Vintage Happy 2 Fabric 

 but of course you can 

use whatever you would like because 

"you are the boss of your own quilt"

It's a big block that's for sure...

which is a challenge and

also fun to do as well:)

Prim Sew Along - Block One!!

"PATRIOTISM AND INDUSTRY"

Welcome to week one of the 

PRIM SEW ALONG!

We are making the 

PRIM QUILT

72" x 90"

The quilt consists of

 Twelve - 16" applique blocks and a pieced border.

This is going to be fun!!

The quilt is made with my newest fabric

 collection called PRIM of course...

along with 2 new Bee Backgrounds and my latest 

SHABBY fabric called Latte.

We are also using the

 PRIM Sew Simple Shapes

I have already posted the

 "BEE PREPARED"

 post which details all of the supplies

 for the sew along and how it works.

 you should have everything for your

 block one all cut and ready to go!

As usual for week one only in my

When I did my block one for the quilt

 I took a lot of photos so I thought I would 

post them here for you even though

 I have done the video...the photos may help!

I used 3 strands of floss 

and a backstitch for the bee antennae:)

I left off the stinger LOL

If you are trying to decide 

if you will be doing hand applique

 or machine applique... 

I did a video on my channel 

 where I demonstrate how I do both.

It may help you decide!
