oh Lori I love them too well that pin cushion is just so adorable I wish I had the patience to make things like that. now the blocks are awesome and I could make them all day long. well I think you should finish them and well if you don't want to you can always send them to me, yes I would finish them and treasure the quilt! What a great collection of Dresden Plates! I especially like the way you used rick-rack to make "waves" on the edges of the last plate. What a great idea. Sure beats trying to applique those hills and valleys.
Oh Lori, I will tell you why I do not like Dresdens.... Are you ready...? 'cause I don't think I could ever in a million lifetimes come to make them like you...lol. Ok, can we talk the pin cushions...I do love those. blessings madame samm
I remember you starting some of those Dresden's up at Rae Ann's cabin. Thank you so much for the tutorial. (I did go out and buy the ruler, and hope to make some very soon). Love the variety you have designed. Combining dresdens with yo yo's is my favorite one!
Okay, stop making me envious.....I must stop drooling.....My favorites are the one with a lot of reds and the one you have planned for next spring. I like all the others too, don't want to make them left out. I love the pincushions, they are beautiful. I love dresdens too. Haven't made any yet, but they are on my list!
The fifth picture down? I have a quilt with those same prints and dresden block!! My great grandma made it for me 15 years ago, on her treadle sewing machine. :)
Who doesn't love Dresden's??? I just completed 4 quilt projects for family we're visiting in CA in Nov. so I decided I wanted to make a Dresden table runner for my friend in St. Louis for Christmas. I'm using a charm pack and I just love cutting them out. Can't wait to get to sewing:)
