Dear Spring...

...where are you?
I miss you.
Please come back:)

Well...I don't know about you girls...but I am soooo over winter.
I'm tired of the snow and the cold and I'm looking forward to sunshiny days again....

As you know, one of my very favorite things to photograph are the flowers in my cottage garden...these are some of the pictures that I took at the end of summer here which is in September...

Mmmmm...I can almost smell my roses:)
Just looking through my photos sure does give me hope for warm weather just around the corner!
And now more than ever I have faith that little tiny green seedlings will soon be making their way out of the soil and shooting up towards the sun...and once again turn into beautiful blooms.
I can't wait!!!
What's it like in your neck of the woods?...what season are you in?...are you soooo over winter too?
I'm keepping myself busy stitching away while I'm waiting it through...
what are you doing while you're waiting?
xx

Hi Lori, Those photos of the flowers are beautiful. Today is the first day of Autumn (Fall) here in Australia!

Oh I love your photos - what inspiration. I miss my flowers, too. They dress up a rather dreary old farm, come inside to add their wonderous perfumes and colors, attract our little hummers and butterflies into dancers of delight.

While waiting (and waiting) I am determined to finish as many old UFOs as possible - but allow for the fun new things along the way.

Beautiful flowers Lori! I can't wait for mine to start blooming too. We have a few inches of snow on the ground still. We got a foot of it on Friday/Saturday. And it's now melting. I have pictures on my blog, if you want to see them....so I, too, am trying to stay busy in the sewing room, while waiting for Spring...of course, I love the snow though, so it doesn't have to hurry...too much.

Spring is crazy here. it ws 68 when I went to the bus stop yesterday and 31 this morning. The temps will change a good 45 degrees most days. My bulbs are starting to come up and I plan to take GOOD pics this year of the things growing in my garden. ;)

I am happy to report that we have had Spring weather here in Florida after a very bitterly cold winter. Yesterday I walked in our neighborhood and took in all of the flowers that are starting to bloom. Yay!!! Hang in there. Yours is coming :-)

In New Mexico it is 29 this morning but is suppose to warm up to 62 by late afternoon. Spring here brings wind. In fact a couple of days ago a storm passed through the state and the highest recorded wind gust was 92 mph to the southwest of here! Where I am we only had gusting in the 30-40 mph range but that's enough! I have daffodils starting to peek up and some flowers just sprouting. I'm tired of cold and wind and am so looking forward to Spring.

Sounds like you need a trip to sunny St. George right about now.
You know the invite is ALWAYS there.

What gorgeous pictures, thanks for sharing. In NE Ohio we are verrrry over winter! The kids around our area have been out of snow days for quite awhile! Looking forward to our quilt guild retreat coming up in a couple of weeks....that will help.

These look like the pages out of my botany books from college. I loved studying in the greenhouses in the dead of winter in western Kansas at KState. David Austin Roses, Sweet Pea smells on humid mornings...oh well theres always a sewing machine to keep me busy. Thanks for the sweet memories from long ago! Smiles...Renee

Your flower pictures are beautiful. I can smell them. It makes me want summer even more. Yes I am sick of winter. I am done with the cold. We are just getting ready to turn into spring. We are having a few cold days but hopefully soon we will be having flowers too.

Well, in my neck of the woods......it is warm and sunny and 78 degrees. It is the prettiest time of the year here. The summer is way too hot to enjoy. I seem to be so busy, it is hard to find time to sew. I am preparing to smock and sew 3 Easter dresses for some of my grand daughters :)
