I've read them from the very beginning and have loved every one of them... especially the historical fiction ones like The Lost Quilter...
which is a sequel to this one...The Runaway Quilt...which has been my very, very favorite in the series so far.
It's really hard to pick a favorite but this is one that I loved so much.
The Union Quilters... and I'm so excited that it's also in the same time period as The Runaway Quilt and The Lost Quilter....which is during the Civil War.
I just started it so I can't give you a review just yet...but I can tell you that I am positive that I won't be dissapointed:)
If you havn't read her books yet, I highly recommend them.
You really don't have to read them in the order that Jennifer has written to enjoy them but I suggest that you do read the first 3 in order so that you understand who the characters are and what the series is all about.
The first three are...
The first three are...
1. The Quilters Apprentice
2. Round Robin
3. The Cross-Country Quilters
All 3 books are now available together in one large book called Elm Creek Quilts Sampler.
If you decide to give them a whirl...let me know how you like them.
Well that's it for now girls...I hope you have a quilty kind of day...
xx

Still waiting to get my autographed copy in the mail. I met her last April in Oregon! She is so nice! Have you made any of her quilts? I did the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler and the Round Robin is a flimsy right now.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'm always on the look out for a good read! jennyx
I started reading the Union Quilters last night! I hated to put it down, but something about cooking dinner, etc!
Happy Reading!
Good Morning Lori. :o)
Thanks so much for suggesting these books. I just put the Elm Creek Quilts Sampler on my Amazon wish list. :o)
I have never read any of her books.
Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely, Trish
Lori, I, too, have read all Jennifer's books, up to her latest. She has such an easy fun writing style and I love her quilts. Eagerly awaiting your critique of the latest book!
Lori, I love Jennifer Chiaverini's books. I've read all up to her latest one. I highly recommend her!
She is my favorite author. Can't wait to read the latest release.
I confess that I'm too chicken to start reading her books. Reason being I'll be hooked! LOL!
I'm reading The Lost Quilter now as Jennifer will be at our library on April 4th. I enjoy her books.

I"ve also read them all ... didn't get the most recent one (yet); however, look forward to having it in hand ; )
Oh, I agree with you TOTALLY!
The Civil War period is my favorite. I loved-loved the Lost Quilter and looking forward to reading the Union Quilters.
Let us know what you of it.
Karen
I have wanted to start reading these but just haven't wanted to start ANOTHER book series addition. ;)
Maybe it's time.
I have read quite a few of these. I did read the first few in order and then would forget which ones I had read and would pick one up out of order but you are right it does not matter after you get through the first ones. My MIL just gave me the Christmas book to read, sorry cannot remember the title, but I am enjoying it a lot at this time.
Oh yes, I am a big fan too. thanks for reminding me of these.
I am a big fan too.
I love those books!
I, too, love her books and have all of them in hardcover. I now have an e-reader and was debating to get this newest one that way. But...i do think I need the hard one to add to my set. I love the "period" novels as well. Actually it might be time to start everything all over...
Jennifer C gets a highly recommended from me too. For some reason it took me a little while to get into the very first one, perhaps it was the mood I was in at the time, but once I got past the first chapter I was hooked. Have read them all now except for this latest one, will look forward to your review on it, and trying to get a hold of it myself here in Australia. xo
I've not read any of her books but will be now, I love a good read and these sound lovely.
I just got THe Union Quilters from the library today! I can't wait to get started on it! :0)
I'm going to have to get back to these books! The Runaway Quilt was my very favorite of the ones I've read...but some of the more modern ones were a little less than my fav's. I haven't read The Lost Quilter...will have to get that and read it! Keep us posted on the newest one!
I've read all these books too and can't wait to get my hands on the newest one. I've borrowed them all from the library but I've now started collecting the books (lovely SIL gave me some for birthday and Christmas).
I am a big fan of the Jennifer and the Elm Creek Quilt series. The Runaway Quilt has always been my favorite as well. I got to meet Jennifer at the Sisters, Oregon outdoor quilt show. I also got to make a book cover block for a quilt me and some of her other fans made. I can't wait to read her new book!!
I've read all of Jennifer's books, too and just waiting for the new one! My favorite was the very first novel. :-) I really enjoyed reading "The Aloha Quilt" during January when it was colder than cold here and we kept getting snow and more snow. I was sure as I read that book that I could feel those warm breezes blowing across the lanai as I sewed. Dreaming.......... LOL!
I really love Jennifer's books and like your previous commenter, one of my favorites was the Aloha quilt. All the stories are excellent read.
If you like quilt stories, you might want to check out Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper stories. They are mysteries but they also have a story thread that connects the main character's family life and loves.
I like her books too.
I am looking forward to reading the Union Quilters.
Regards,
Anna
Thanks for the book suggestions! I haven't read any of her books yet, but I'll be putting in an order at Amazon today!
I went to a book signing with her last night. She read from the Union Quilters and answered questions. She seems like she would be a good person to sit and quilt with for an afternoon. Looking forward to reading the book.
Too cute! I make my own starch too but it has water, vodka, starch and lavender oil. I am not sure what the vodka does but my fabrics sure are happy. ;)
Oh, oh, oh!! So glad you told us! I read them all, without stopping hardly, all the way up to around the lost quilter. I have them all, but need to catch up!!! Ive been into books on cd these days so i can multi task.. Lol But hate to buy what i already have in books. I wonder if her books come on cd, ill have to look. Xo
